AIR MATA AIR

Air Mata Air...
Berlinangan, berlinangan selalu...

I always noticed few vehicles park along the roadsite of this highway when Im on the way from my house Kajang to Sg Long area using the SILK Highway. As per my observation and by what people had told me, it is true then that all of the vehicle’s owners were actually bottled the spring that flew out from the underground through the rock of the hill located along the way of the highway. I didn't exactly certain either the water was pure or just merely a tap water... however based on the amount of people in queue just to take turn to get the water, well at least they're sure it was a pure one.

I told my mom when she was at Kajang and to my great surprise, she was so excited to get the spring water.
She said "If lots of people took it, Chinese, Indian then its must be pure. Let's take a look first. Bring also our container". What?? I thought the word "take a look" means just go there, asked several people about the water and maybe take one small bottle for test/reference or what so ever. Never had I thought that I had to bring 2 containers and few bottles like Im going to open and market the mineral water business.

Order is an order, so on one fine day, we went to that place in the evening. We just "pusing2" around the area, made few u-turns to find a better spot to start our mission. Finally we stopped here.

At that time, the spring-spot was actually occupied by 2 people who seem to take the water for the whole community and were not going to stop until their fit-one-van containers fulled. I had a feeling that they were going to sell it even they denied and just said it would be for the medical purpose. Since we already stood there, asked lots of questions and wore a look of suspicious expression, they finally surrender, passed us the water hose (quickly packed all the containers to avoid back to back inquiries from my mom) and left. To my pleasure, it was just mom n me climbing the drain to the hill side where the hoses were attached to the crack of the rocks to which the spring water flew from underneath it.
It was my pleasure since that area was quite deserted that time coz I don't favor if anyone I know saw me "terpanjat2, mengangkut air bagai" like my home water supply been cut by SYABAS.

As you can see, we had 2 containers to be filled. Luckily the water flow was quite fast so we did'nt have to wait longer for our containers to become full.

See, my mom was not satisfied with just 2 containers, there were few bottles to be filled too!!

Close up... well if U wonder how all the hoses were there, well I also had thought about that and asked the "enthusistic-spring-collector" before me about it. There are few spots for the water springs to emerge to the surface here, through the cracks and holes. You can find the cracks easily at the lower part of the hill however imagine to put your bottle as close as posibble on the muddy rock wall.. there must be other's minerals added to your bottle apart from what contained in the water. And the taste.. possibly the mixture of mud+rocks+..... etc, etc. For this particular reason was why the regular-spring-collector had put an initiative to stuck the cracks and holes with pipes and attached it with host for their leisure to collect in future (well it came out a benefit to us too). Anyone can use it, and if the spring on that spot already dried, those who can climb higher the hill, will just have to stuck out the pipe+host and re-stuck again again at any spot they found a new spring coming in.

One last question popped up, whether this spring will flow forever. Well the answer of course not, however how long it will last depends on the weather and human activities brought out here. Imagine the long dry season and all the constructions activities...

As up to this date, the spring is still there. You can come and taste it just to find a different and if you believe on it's benefit, you can bottle it. Oh I forgot, I even googled on what is the health benefit of drinking spring water. I knew it have been widely known for centuries where people travel miles to obtain pure, fresh spring water (like my mom did). Natural spring water rises to the land surface naturally. Some health experts feel that this means it is ready to be consumed. Spring water contains antioxidants and is a natural anti-inflammatory agent. When it comes straight from the ground it has nourishing qualities that are not present in purified water. (Nampak sgt ayat copy paste internet kan...). So that was it. Preserve our Nature, see you then in next post sweeties... DA!!!
