SWG hits Port Dickson - Part 1

It has been a yearly activity for SWG to go for holiday. Furthermore with the existence of "Tabung Ade-Ade", we kept about RM10-week into the fund and by the end of the year the lumpsum amount of our collections will be used for SWG vacation.. Brilliantkan...?? :D

For the year of 2011, we managed to get total RM500/each from the fund (we started a bit late so the amount was not much). However that still considered a big figure and sufficient for our vacation trip.

So where was our destination this time? Any Guess....? :D Alrite I tell you... This time, SWG finally "roxx" Port Dickson!! Why PD?? Even it's a common beach in Malaysia, nearer and I already went there twice this year smpai nk termuntah dah..... it's a majority decision. This was due to our consideration toward SWG member, ZT yg preggie that time. Of course further destination would not be suitable for her. As for me, I believed every holiday will bring a different experiences. Apetah lg pergi ngan group lain, lain org mesti lain ragamkan....

Oh ya, we also stayed at the different resort than I went with my family before. It was a school holiday so we couldn't find any available house/apartment. All were fully booked so the only choice was to reserve a hotel and the only hotel available was Casa Richardo Resort near Teluk Kemang area. This resort is famous among visitors to conduct a training/gathering/conference or organizing any events. Price was quite affordable and located at blue lagoon near the Casa Ricardo Fire House.

We departed from KL at 10am where I, Dhiya and Nor in one car followed by Fizah-hubby & Kak Maz family. Traffic was a bit congested near the Nilai area however we managed to reach PD as per estimated time arrival around 1pm.

Updating the other members on location. (Ignore my nail color. Perasan camtikss)

LUNCHEON AT NASI KUKUS AYAM PANGGANG, PD

It was already lunch time, so first destination we went was of course a place to fill in our stomach. We got attracted with one restaurant which full of customers and looked unique. As we got the typical mentality that "Full means Best", so we parked our car and joined the crowd. The mentioned restaurant was .....

So Sweet Grup without ZT yg masih belum smpai ketika ini..

Duduk2 trus amik gamba...

As you can see, this restaurant had an unique theme that made it outstanding from other restaurant (even in term of taste wise, it just in average level). The decoration was very cowboy like.

Left : Presenting to U our new member of SWG Junior, Danial! He is Fizah new born son and this was his first experience joined papa+mama for holiday. Nasib x byk ragam. Cayalah...Yay!!

Right : We had their recommended specialist dish, chicken BBQ rice. Most of the menus here were grill-based dishes.

Untitled-1

Menu yg so-so and a bit tasteless... (frankly)

After had our stomach filled, we took a picture in front of the restaurant where they displayed varieties type of cowboy hat. Enough for us to took one each and had a photo shoot. Presented to you... Cow-babes!

More and more group photos....

Cow-babes and Cow-baby..

Ok, last pose!

PD OSTRICH SHOWFARM

Xtvt after lunch, we went to the Ostrich Farm that located along the way to our Hotel. Usually when Port Dickson is mentioned, the beaches will come into mind first since it is mainly famous for that. So, I wouldn’t have guessed that an ostrich farm would be here as well. To be honest I wasn’t too keen on visiting the farm at first but since it was recommended by many people who visited it before, I went anyway. It is just a small area but having quite a lot of ostriches in here. (Well dah nama pun Ostrich Farm kan, xkan nak ade unta plak kt sini..)

Took Danial stroller for a walk

Welcome note

The entrance fee is RM8 for adults and RM4 for kids, quite pricey for a mini zoo if you ask me.. We could tour all the area to watch the animals, feed them and took photo.

Motif...?? Konon ala frame gambar la nie..

Funnily enough, the first animal we went to see was the goat at the petting zoo instead of ostriches lol.

Yes U saw it right, kambing pun ada. Khas utk uptown people yg jakun x pernah tgk kambing. And yes... foreigner too. Meet local goats peeps!! (Psssttt... the black goat was so macho, x layan gua amik gamba.. serius je muka)

Untitled-5

Next, ostrich hot chicks.. (ok saje tambah "hot" tu)

The nicest looking male ostrich, handsome looking but big bald spot, lack of feathers at the bottom.

We bought some animal feed at RM2 each box which contained yellow corn and proceeded to the feeding area. Funny thing was all the adults were scared to feed the ostrich. This is because ostrich has a rather long and sharp beak that would hurt your fingers when they peck the food from your hand. We just scared if the ostrich bite our palm when it wanted to grab the foods so we just threw the foods to the ostrich instead.

Only Trisya yg berani, yg besar suma hampeh....

Ok Fairol too... kena jaga air muka gak kan. Tunjuk berani la.

Untitled-6

Other adults just took photo with the junior ostrich.

Ok, when there's a junior, there must be senior right?? Lets take a look!!!

An Ostrich with a flirting eyes.

Aiks... what da hell I was doing right there??

Owh... skodeng (peek) ostrich eggs rupanya!

This is called a "shy-shy" ostrich poses.

Untitled-7

Keeping an eye contact with the ostrich

Emergency room...

I think the management should add "for children only" note here. Imagine the thin ostrich legs to support our (adults) weight?? Pity...

Cute little chickens however I don't think I have to travel this far just to see it. I can watch it straight from my house since my neighbor also breed the chickens. :)

Untitled-15

After feeding session completed, we went to the cafe located inside the farm.

We saw this sign ... Satay ostrich an had a try. It's fair what... td kita bg dia makan skrg kita makan dia balik. That is a cycle of life. Hahhahahaa!!

Posed at the cafe

Ade displayed old trishaw kat cafe tu, so jd props bergamba la nampaknya

Believe it or not, the ostrich egg can support the weight of a grown up man, up to 120++kg!!

Untitled-8

You can step on it with your bare feet. Confirm x pecah!

Heavy duty egg. Tgk pun dah nmpak solid jer...

Daging ostrich agak tebal and liat so membakarnya juga mengambil masa yg lama. Luckily they got the electrical fan, klau x nak mengipas manual jenuh woo...

Check the price babes!!

Excited faces except Fairul who looked a bit bored. Hungry perhaps?

Yezar... finally it's ready!

Unsur2 ke"tamak"kan berlaku di sini..

Ostrich meat is one of the best meat you can eat in the world for being low in fat. The meat was tough, dry and had a rough texture however in taste wise, it was good!

Once we finished the satay & bought some souvenirs (fridge magnet of course).... we went out from the park. Its nearly 4.30pm where we needed to check in at the hotel and getting ready for the outdoor games at the beach. Yeay... cant wait!!

But before that, our visit will not be completed if there's no group photo of us..

One moment ZT wasn't here...

And one moment she was here.. Hoyye cukup korum!!

Final picture

Where was our next destination?? To be continued in PD Trip with SWG Part II.

Till then, stay tuned peeps..............

Lawak Ker Der..... Serious Lawak....!!!!

I went to watch Lawak Ker Der live show at Istana Budaya Last Friday (3rd Feb) with Lina and Kayrie. Well sape lg geng2 tgk konsert/live show klau bukan ngan diaorg ni kan.... and this time our theme was polka dots! Sounds fun eh...

A lil' bit about this show, Lawak ke Der (Der means Brother or brader) was a first ever stand-up comedy show in Malay presented the talented bunch of comedians in the country. Hosting the show was the witty Nabil (Raja Lawak 2). They were Jozan, Osbon, Boboi, and The King of Stand-up Comedian, Harith Iskandar that took part in the show. Jozan and Osbon performance was rotated. Osbon got only slots on the 3rd & 10th Feb, while the rest was Jozan.

We entered the hall a bit late (show started at 8.30mpm), where Nabil already performed the opening act - singing the "I'm Sexy and I know It" song, his version of course :P Each comedians were funny in their own right and have their own styles of comedy. I bet U, there was no silence moments during the show since the hall was full of laughter all the time with their superb performance. The verdict? It was totally funny!! We all just couldn't stop laughing throughout the show. Really worth every RM spent.

Pecah perut masing2 ketawa. It was really hilarious! Thumbs up to all!!

*disclaimer*: Taking photo during the show is prohibited.... Kena pandai curi peluang. Wink!

Boboi was great!

After the show ended approximately at 11.30pm, there was a "Meet-The-Fans" session. A chance to see the favourite comedians up close and personal, everyone quickly got in line to get an autograph and took photo with them. (Retis ko sape xnak kan...)

1st met Harith Iskandar. "Your performance was really great. I enjoyed it a lot..!!" Ayat bodek from me :P, but I really mean it. Frankly.....

Next, met Nabil. Mmg pok-pek2 mulut si Nabil x sudah2. Very friendly. OMG I look like a giant standing in the front. (The truth : klau ddk belakang pun besar gak. Huhuhu...)

I'm a cheapskate. Kedekut nk kuar duit beli poster, tiket pun jadikla suruh retis2 nie sign...

With Osbon.... Menggeletar Abon when I called him "Abg Abon". Then xkan nak panggil pakcik kot? :P

Kayrie and Lina turn with Osbon. They're very humble. Sape la yg tuduh diaorg lupa diri tu mmg x patut!

Kayrie with Boboi

Afdlin turned at my camera....

Kesan make-up jd mak datin seekers pun x hilang lg tu!!

Polka dot theme with Boboi. Kayrie mcm ngelat skit coz polka dot nya not very obvious.

Beria2 diaorg nie sign otografff kan? Cayalah....

Mission accomplished

Lobby area

Last shoots before went back

As ussual, we had our dinner cum supper first at nearest stall. Starved since we went here direct from office before. After that, I sent Kayrie back to her house and went straight back home. Happy mood to watch such a nice show. Bravo!!

Dinner yg Vogue @ Renaissance Hotel

I went there with Nor quite some time ago. Last year to be exact, on 27th Oct 2011. It was an adhoc plan. Well for me at least coz initial plan was between Nor and my other office's collegue Zaharah. They planned to dine at Renai (after getting the 50% discount group-on coupon) however after the booking confirmed and everything, Zaharah got other's problem that made her unable to go. Desperate I guess, Nor asked me to swap Zaharah place and luckily I was in the mood to join. Imagine last minute information and kena keluar duit jgk around RM49 for the buffet... that's why I said nasib baik I was in the good mood. Kalau x mmg malas nak pegi, especially when we needed to be there after work around 8pm. Dah la baju gi keje aritu x cantik.

I insisted to go home first after work to change my attire. At least xde la nampak bacin sgt makan kat hotel. Nor called the restaurant and postponed to 9pm. She picked me at my house around 8pm then merempit kami ke KL. Alhamdullilah traffic was smooth that night.

Arrived at the restaurant and took our seat. View of the dining room...

The waiter came and asked for the drinks... Imagine air yg available only plain water. Nak taknak kena la order juice mango. Kang nampak sgt budget. And you know what, this one glass of juice cost around RM10++ ok!

Me at the salad section... There was one big space for salad while the main course and dessert sharing the same space. Got what I mean x? Maknanya salad lebih variety dr main course. That's a trick ok. To make foods look variety even it just more vege than meat!

See, a lot of choices for salad. Right top bakery area, bottom waffles (yummy!!) and of course the main dishes..

3

Fruits and chocolates. There were White, Dark and Green type chocolates here...

4

It's MAKAN time!!

2

Local menu...

Full with the main course, lets take a look at the desserts...

1

In term of chocolate, I cannot tolerate. I'm a "chocolista". (Is it a word??)... Bantai je la janji yg penting I'm crazy about chocolate. Rasa mcm nak bwk balik chocolate fountain nie kat umah. Just dip anything u want here. Slurrppp...

It's really a temptation.

Wolla, ice cream...

Owh, the name of our cafe is Vogue Patisserie Cafe. So make sure U dress "vouge"ly if U wish to dine here ok... Actually for me style is not a matter, the most import thing is your "pocket"... :P

Overall the buffet was ok. However the price (original price before discount RM98) was a bit expansive for me as others hotel like Marriot and Mandarin Hotel KLCC (just name a few with similar price), the foods were much variety than here. Kat sini lamb grill pun xde. I rated 3 out of 5.

Nevertheless, perut sudah kenyang.... our next xtvt before went home berposingla gamaknya.

Nak buat red carpet entrance la tu kononnya.. Berangan DIVA itu penting!

The lobby lounge

There was one lady that time who was very sporting and volunteered to take our photo.

To the East wing lobby.... means our cafe td located at the West wing la kot. I already forgot... :P

Another cafe at the East wing

Temptations cafe... This one looks oriental. Probably more Chinese food here.

The main lobby... berapa banyak lobby da..!

5

Outside the hotel

Since we parked our car next to the hotel, we took outdoor photo odw our walk there..

Dunno, nampak buruk lak Renaissance time nie.. Angle x cantik kot

Walla, KLCC at night.

I love this photo so much. Susah nak dpt shoot nie tau. KLCC background, with a barrier such as the very limited light plus the non-stop passing peoples... Result was satisfactory!

Menara Kuala Lumpur also visible from here

KL is really a city of lights and this is the proove!!

While Nor was driving, I took this photo of KLCC tower and very impressed with the result.

KLCC looks so majestic and amazing at night. Subhanallah really proud with KLCC and proud to be Malaysian. Cayalah...!!!

Finally I reached home at midnight. Tomorrow got to work so went straight to bed after changed cloth. Alhamdullilah, one more experience added to my memory. Syukur with His consent that I am able to experience something new, face new challenge, taste good foods, work in happy environment and breath everyday to enjoy all this. However remember everything we owned is only temporary so no need to be greedy or proud. He's the one who gave us and He's the one who can take it back. Subhanallah walhamdullilah wallailaha illallah wallahuakbar!
