Saba' With Family

Wow this year, my post mostly about "makan2" with family. Well since Uda came back to Malaysia after successfully completed her study at Medan (Alhamdulillah), we decided to make sure that we will gather and meet as frequent as possible. Have dinner, visit each other house or go for vacation. My family is not big, just four of us so we have to mantain our relationship and keep the bonding strong.

Back to my story, it was my turn to treat my family this time so I brought them to Saba' Restaurant. I don't think I have to write much about this restaurant as I know it's already famous and popular among KL/Selangor residences. However, since I am a sweet person, I gave U the link to read about Saba'HERE ok...

None of my family member been here before so this was a great idea to let them experience the taste of famous Arabic Nasi Beriani and others food available here.

I made a booking earlier since it was a Public Holiday (Labour Day) so I knew Saba' would definitely packed with people. Somemore tgh "bulan muda"... Mesti ade org yg nak treat or celebrate anythings...

As expected, Saba' was full once we reached there at 9pm. We needed to take an elevator to the 2nd floor where the air-conditioned hall provided to those who already reserved for big table. It was quiet here however comfy on the same time. Suitable for those who wanted to spent intimate time with family rather than at normal level which was hot and noisy.



I got this card for their reference on my order later. Every time when I added a new order, they will collect the card to update it on their system. So efficient.

We also ordered the Barbican drink – an imported non-alcoholic malt beverage @ RM3 each. It comes in different flavors too like Pineapple, Lemon (best), Rasberry and Peach. If you are wondering, Barbican tastes like sparkling juice minus the over-sweetness.

Ladies Nite

Surprise......... Mama, Along, Uda n me went to Bazaar Downtown at Bdr Tun Razak, Cheras. Ucu couldn't join as she was unwell that night, kalau x dah cukup korum satu family. On the way home around 12am, my mom suddenly "teringin" to eat Satay Perut. Jangan membantah nanti jd anak derhaka, luckily Along didn't bring her children along so we went to eat at Medan Satay, Prima Saujana Kajang.

The Nasi Lemak and Satay were awesome! I recommended also Tauhu Bakar however it was not available that night. Kempunan Along! Supper at midnite, kali nie mmg betul2 amik peluang balik lambat.



P/S : I think I should called it Woman's Nite lagi sesuaikan... :P

Steamy at Red Wok Restaurant

Our big family went for dinner (makan busat) which was on Ucu's treat. Since we were on the mood to eat stimboat, after quick "google"ed on the internet, we decided to go to RED WOK at Section 7, Bdr Baru Bangi. It was our first time so by the time we reached there, never we expected that the place was so happening and full with people. We had to wait and pandai2 berebut tempat once nampak ade seat kosong.



Red Wok is separated into 2 sections. One section is provided for those who wanted to have an "Ala-Carte" menu (Thai dishes and all the "fried" stuffs), while the other section for the steamboat. For the steamboat itself, it has 2 options to choose. RM22 for steamboat only and the other one which was our choice was steamboat + BBQ (RM28/person).

There were many choices of food... varieties type of seafoods, chickens, meats, fishes, sausages, salads and lots more!! You choose and take your foods here!



Additionally it also served fried rice and mee, spaghetti , mash potato, drinks (normally orange/mango) and ice cream.
Logically I think why they provide fried rice/mee is because carbo can make U cepat kenyang. When U full, U will take less seafoods... seafood much more expansive than fried rice/mee. Well that's business strategy rite. My advise ignore the additional dishes tu and concentrate on your seafood steamboat ok!.

Along, everyone was freaking oily that time so nasibla ade gamba yg selamat, mana2 yg flash terlebih tu berkilat la muka hokey. I got no intention to "caras" sapa2 tau..

This was when everybody suddenly vanished..... perut kenyang cabut tinggal Ucu la yg ade to settle the bill.



Overall I satisfied with the food. The service was fast and the price was affordable. Thanks for reading my post and hope you enjoy it.

Weekend Review

Hello dearies.....


How's ur weekend? Mine was superb and enjoyable. As U might know, my youngest sister Uda already finished her study at Medan, Indonesia and finally she back to Malaysia for good. Mama came to Kajang last Friday coz we had an invitation for Wedding Reception at Subang on Saturday.

On the day, all of us (my sister & family, Ucu & family plus mama, Uda n me) 3 cars convoi to Subang around 12.30pm. We made it there just in time for lunch then the bride & bridgegroom arrived.

Oh my god, the food was great! Among the menus were Nasi Minyak, Ayam Masak Merah, Kurma Daging (Beef), Rendang Kambing, Sambal Sotong, Acar Timun, Keropok and orange. I tried to put everything in my plate but as U can see, it was too full already.



What happened there? What's made that long queue? No, they were not lining for the main dishes.



Tara... this was the caused of the traffic. CENDOL. Laris... It was hot, and we were like had it more than one. No wonder line panjang and I tell you, the cendol was soooo sedap!



Ok, dah namanya pompuankan...lets take a look inside. Kita skodeng pelamin. Well the pelamin was simple but sometime less is better. It suited their theme which was English Style, so they used a lots of pastel/pink colour and roses in the decoration.



Arisha took a photo with Kumpalan Bali-Bali from Kuala Selangor. They had delivered such an entertaining performance. My uncle ussualy invited them for his company's event and it was also the same group who performed when her elder daughter married back few years ago.

Film Legend, Elizabeth Taylor passes away

Oh this is another shocking news in the entertainment industry. Film legend Elizabeth Taylor passes away due to of congestive heart failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Wednesday at age 79.

Someone might ask "Who is Elizabeth Taylor by the way?". Well I don't think the youngster nowadays know her but probably have heard the name somewhere in the screen or magazines. However there's for sure that our parents knew her as she had gain an extraordinary grace, fame and wealth on their era. You may read about Elizabeth Taylor HERE.



Today the world have lost one of the bigger actress ever! Elizabeth Taylor was an idol inspiration. Brave,strong personality,respectful,feminity,rear beauty, etc....all those quality's in her!
A light has been turned off in Hollywood, another legend of incomparable grace and talent has gone beyond the veil, and she will be missed.

You may rest in peace and God bless you...

Carls Junior & Kedai Mokcik

Holla hu... this is where the sweetness taste came from. The pineapple mix with the teriyaki sauce. And the cheese... What a great combo!!

What a blessed day we had that day. Alhamdullilah...................... Carls Junior is one of my favourite fast food restaurant, its good for your taste but not for your pocket as the price is a bit expansive. But make it this way, you have been working very hard to earn money everyday, all the pressures and stresses you endured... don't U think u deserved a damn good tasty food as a treat and bonus for all your efforts once a month?? I bet U deserved it!!

On the other days, our normal place for lunch is at Huzaimi Restaurant. This is the place where stomach and pocket are equally match. :D
