KB Last - ZT's reception

Unlike KL or most part in the west coast of Malaysia, the wedding reception at Kelantan (ZT's house to be exact) was a bit different. Here the ceremony started early so by 11am we already arrived at her house (we checked out and brought all our bags too). ZT also already done her make-up & everything, fully prepared waiting for the group from the bridegroom's side.

Theme of the day was mauve color. I think this color suited her well!

I took this chance to take photo with ZT before she got bz later.

The wedding cake.

Me with the Pelamin (stage)

One of the dessert for "meja pelamin". Unique!

The guests mostly were relatives and closed family's members so not much people around and this seems to be the most "relax" and "calm" wedding's reception I ever attended. Well U know la kan normally majlis kenduri especially those held at house mesti riuh-rendah and kelam kabut skitkan. Ape2pun, it was "cool" and well prepared!

Another thing that I found a bit weird was the reception which held on working day. Yes it's Sunday but in Kelantan it was not a public holiday. However according to ZT, it's normal to invite people for "kenduri" on working day at Kelantan since it's more easier coz the guest could directly came to her house during lunch time. Besides that was the purpose of the invitation... kita jamu tetamu makan. Hari cuti normally people will spent more time at home....see, how they valued their guests so much. Make sense kan...

"Persatuan Wanita" from KB was invited to entertain the guest. They just not sang a Nasyid song, but varieties of song from Dikir Barat to Dangdut. Hebat!

Rombongan from Bridegroom's side arrived. Kedua2 mempelai berarak ke Pelamin.

Equally match on the stage.

I like the decoration on the "meja pengantin". The yellow color really made a contras effect and brought up the mauve color, make it outstanding.

Intai lauk plak..

Persalinan lain utk acara potong kek.

We had a short nap at ZT house and at 4pm getting ready to the Airport. After bersalam ngan tuan rumah, collected all the door gifts and buah tangan from them, Asrul sent us to Pengkalan Chepa, Airport. Not more than 10mins we arrived there.

Checked in... our flight departed at 7.20pm.

Alhamdullilah we safely arrived at KL around 8.20pm. Took a taxi back to our office and picked up my car back home. Relief akhirnya dpt menunaikan janji dgn ZT to attend her wedding and experience the culture and custom of Kelantanese wedding. Dpt tour Kota Bahru lagi.....

To Zetty, congratulation on your wedding. May you have a bright future ahead, happy always, wish U all the best and thanks for all the hospitality during my stay at KB.

Till then sweeties, thanks for reading my entry and see you in next post.

Zetty's Solemnization

This was the main agenda of our visit to KB. That night we supposed to be at Zetty's house for solemnization at 8pm. Still didn't want to burden the tuan rumah for the transportation (even they had offered so many times to pick up us at our hotel), we had plan sumthin earlier in the evening when we went to visit the town. Remember my previous post where I told U there's a reason why I went to the bus station...? YES.......??

Ok, lets me explain. Since I noticed the taxi hub was also located at the bus stand (which the one that we arrived from KL previously), we went there..... We asked for chartered taxi from our hotel to Padang Bongor (ZT house). After the deal settled, appointment had been made which the taxi driver will pick up us at 8pm with a cost RM10/way. Brilliant...!!

Very punctual, at 8pm we received a call from that taxi driver and then........here we were, at Zetty's room waiting for her to dress up.

The hantarans...

OMG, my 'hasil tangkapan' waktu ZT's engagement pun displayed kat bilik. Im touched!

Full album pula menjadi tatapan masyarakat setempat. Sekali fotografer mlm tu tnya sape yg amik gamba nie. Adoi MALU nk mengaku. I'm just an amateur who take photo just for fun... (statement selamat...)

Theme of the night, Arabic. All ZT's relatives followed the theme except us!

Almost done!

Finally, me with a gorgeous Arabic Princess.... eh "Queen" to be.

The group from the Bride's side came a bit late around 10pm. Starved... tp ku tahan Jebat!

The ceremony started. Me as Zt's assistant terkena gak tempias debaran. Lum kawen betul2x lagi. Cuak!

I didn't managed to take photo during the "akad" coz everyone (including myself) was so focus that time. Maulana (ZT's husband) just took 1 time to pronounce the correct "akad" then everyone seems like to release their breath and relief. After Akad, there's a few "upacara" afterward and lets us follow in sequences :

1st posed at the Pelamin upacara/wedding stage.

2nd, upacara membatalkan air sembahyang which Maulana menyarungkan gelang ke tangan ZT (Apasal skema ayat..? Well I mmg x reti nak ulas2 benda nie, so tiba2 ikut protokol)

3rd, Maulana gave her wife "duit hantaran" as a gift. Zt - makcik kayo!!

4th... bersalaman. ZT : terima kasihla di atas pemberian duit td yer..

5th, the most thrill part... ops second after the akad td. Upacara menanggalkan hijab isteri yg sudah menjadi halal kepada sang suami.. (ceh ayat x bole blah!)

I told ya... skillfull wat benda nie. Finally... Maulana terpegun melihat kecantikan Zetty pd malam itu. (ok nie ayat reka sendiri, tp bole agak melalui ekspresi wajah Abg Mau time tu...)

Finally sah la "and I pronounced U as a husband and wife!" (Tp sorry xde adegan U may kiss ur bride here ok. Jgn gatal!!)

Then acara di tunggu2x... Dinner time! All I can say, the food that night was superb. All the dishes were prepared by Tuan Rumah. There're Somtam, Mutton, Chicken, Daging Masak Kuzi, deserts and lots more.

Too much isn't. Went directly to the kitchen, acted like my own house and packed the balance food wat makan kat hotel nanti.

It almost 12midnight when ZT's brother, Asrul sent us back to our hotel. We didn't straight to bed, but packing back all our stuff since tomorrow morning we needed to check out around 11am and to ZT's receptions plak. Till then, to be continued again sweeties! Stay tuned.

Kelik Kota Bahru - Part 2

After getting enough rest we started our XPDC around 2pm to tour Kota Bahru town. It was afternoon and the sun shining straight 90 deg C on top of our head. What were we thinking...?? However we got limited time here so no matter the condition was, hot or wet, we had to go through it. From our hotel, our first destination was to Pasar Ct Khadijah. We could see lots of  stalls were set up along the way from our hotel to the Jln Ct Khadijah. Seems like there would be a Pasar Malam tonight.

Here we go... LAMAN SITI KHADIJAH.

Ape2 pun before started our tour, we need to fill our stomach so kaki terus melangkah ke food stall yg ade kat situ. Starved, we had a Nasi Ayam (fast n easy)...

After had our stomach filled, we quickly passed through the market area as we planned to visit other places first then we came back here for shopping.

Our first destination was KAMPUNG KRAFTANGAN (CRAFT VILLAGE) which located just next to the Pasar Siti Khadijah.

(Ok saya ade sedikit tamak di sini, so kuantiti gambar yg diupload agak banyak. Gambar Nor xde pun, nama blog aku, so haku punya suka la!!)

Pintu Gerbang pun dah hebat! Ala2 istana melayu lama.

Main entrance to Craft Village

Me infront the main building, Balai Getam Guri(hall) which is a handicraft museum. Entrance fee to the museum is RM 1 for adult. However due to limited time left, we didn't enter the museum and just took photos outside the building only.

Cant remember what type of "Balai" is this.

There were a souvenir shops and gallery on the ground floor.

And the management office on the first floor. (Budget pose ala2 kampung style)

Side view...

All the info you need is here, just click to enlarge.

Next, jalan2 lagi....
Ops... what the heck, amik gamba dlm longkang. Actually I just love my job so much so everytime I saw something related to my work, it will remind me of my job. (Hope my Boss read it!!) So this time I saw elbow pipe, I took photo as a prove how much I miss office eventhough I was in vacation that time. KNM in heart. Yuksss!!!

Located opposite of the Craft Village is ISTANA BATU (Stone Castle).

You have to pay to enter the Castle/istana, so we just took photos outside. Not because we were too "kede" to pay (ala RM2/adult pun...), like I mention our time was quite tight. Asal dpt tgk dr luar and ada gambar kira pass la...

Check out the info here (Tgk baik hati lagi tp sbnarnya pemalas nk type info panjang2... strategi beb!)

Checked map for our next location. Very user friendly....

This area is known as SUDUT SENI (ART CORNER)

In front of the ROYAL GUESS HOUSE, berangan to be Royal guess...

Luckily all the interesting places/tourism attractions located next to another so we didn't have to walk much and very easy to find all the places. Next we went to ISTANA JAHAR.

Ok, sesi membaca info sekali lagi.

I always adore the classic architecture... cool design and imagine the strength and stability of the building. Still standing even after more than 100 years been built.

Our vacation theme that time was "outdoor photoshoot" so as ussual la... we didn't enter the istana. BDW, the admission fee is RM3/adult for those who interested to check out what is inside.

Beautifull park. Wakaf at my back a place to read Qoran in peace.

Souvenir stalls

Jalan punya jalan, finally we reached PADANG MERDEKA (INDEPENDENCE FIELD). However there were few buildings that still under construction and closed for visitors.

This memorial photo was taken between the fences... GIGIH!

Trust me, I wore shade bkn kerana melaram semata2. The weather that time was damn hot! I was thirsty all the time and this was the 2nd drinks I had...

Saya merungut cuaca yg panas, sdgkan akibat cuaca sebeginilah yg menghasilkan gumpalan awan yg begitu indah dan mempesonakan sekali. Subhannallah... (Can U see the statue of Al-Quran among the arches... symbolickan?)

I can't stop from took a photo not just once or twice....

But lots and lots more. Just love the arches and the clouds effect behind it! Pose pun ala2 penuh kesyukuran. FAKE!!

Lastly we went to Kelantan State Mosque, MASJID MUHAMMADIAH.

Motif tangan ala2 sami budha.....?

A traditional building next to the mosque..

We used the same route like when we came here before so we stopped at BULUH KUBU BAZAAR (BAMBOO FORT BAZAARAS) to buy few souvenirs for family and friends.

At Pasar CT Khadijah. It's nearly dusk so most of the stalls already closed.

We also went to the BAZAAR MPKB located along the way at Jalan Siti Khadijah to our hotel to buy local snacks..

Sotong kering traditionally made. Siap ade alat nk lenyek sotong tu mcm nk perah tebu.

Infront the nearest bus station. There's a reason why we went here. I will tell ya in the next post coz it's related. (budget suspen la tu..)

Finally we reached our hotel around 6pm. Superb isn't...? In just 2hrs we managed to cover whole KB and the result my skin already got burned... Tanned ke kenduri kawen nampaknya. We wanted to prepare ourselves to attend Zetty solemnization plak...

So to be continued...
