Salam Ramadhan

Hi Bloggers,

We're already reached the Ramadhan month and I would like to take this oppurtunity to wish all muslims "Salamat menyambut Ramadhan and Selamat Berpuasa". Its already 2nd day of fasting and so far even with the current issues of economis turndown and H1N1, however its still does'nt effect the mood of Ramadhan. Everywhere in Bazaar Ramadhan still packed with people, its just as a precaution most of them wear a mask to prevent the spreading of H1N1 virus. I just went back from my hometown to celebrate my first fasting there. Nothing special on the event as I just wanted to be with my mom during this special month and concentrate on the "amal ibadat" as well. Tomorrow as ussual, start working and this would be my 1st experience fasting at the new place. Work load is still more (even more I think) but so far Im positive that I can manage it (maybe its because of the fasting which teach us to be more patient). I had set my goal for this month where I wanted to practice as much as I can on the ibadat and amal jariah. I really hope that I can achieved it. Marilah kita sama2 berdua di bulan yg mulia ini agar segala amal ibadat kita diterima, dan agar kita di jauhi dari segala dugaan dan bala bencana yg menimpa. Amin yarabbal alamain.

La..La.. Kerjalah..

Warghhh..... its has been the most busiest week for me last week and I daresay that it was the first time in my live (as far as I remember)...

Starting from last Monday the time really passed very fast and suddenly it's already 4pm where I as a cheer leading participant needed to attend the meeting for tomorrow's occasion and 5.30pm went to the final rehearsal until 7pm. Back from work, I had a last minute shopping with kak Linda at Tesco, Kajang where we bought a socks, gloves and for me a tights and black t-shirt to be worn tomorrow.

Then Tuesday..... when the day came, I was absolutely cannot concentrate on my work. The excitement, plus nervous on the same time made me really gave up to continue my work, and started to pack all my things and gathered with all my team mates sharp at 12.30pm at the office lobby. We went to the Bursa KL by train and reached there around 2pm. (Read my entry on the Rat Race '09 Competition for more details). I reached home nearly at 10.30pm and if you can feel my condition that time, it was like I didn't have any energy at all. FLATTED and very exhausted. I went straight to bed without even had my teeth brushed or even get my cloth changed. (luckily I already had a shower at the BURSA before).

On the next day , most of my team mates were on MC that while me, myself was reluctantly went to work with a pain on my neck and ankle. But I didn't dare to complaint anything because it was me who volunteered to enter the competition so all the consequences, I had to face it myself. But I'm so relief that the competition was over where I didn't have to think about steps and dances anymore so I could concentrate 100% back to work. However, it's just 1 day I went out from office, but my work seems to double up. I saw 2 new files on my desk and I started to get nervous. My schedule were full with "pending" tasks and all that needed to be submitted next week on 18th. Its already Wednesday, OK maybe I could do it slowly.. relax still got time. Then it's Thursday, still OK time just running very fast, it's normal. I could handle it (Trying to "pujuk" my own feeling). Finally it's Friday...what?? How could it happened?? Somebody must be jinxing the time. Lots of thing were still not finished yet. I didn't know which one to concentrate as I'm doing all the works half way. Which one should I finish first. Then I sacrificed my Saturday where I had been working overtime from morning until 5.30pm.

And today on Sunday, I spend my day to cover up my sleep and get full rest since I can anticipate that next week will be as busy like last week. Hopefully when I've done submitting all the work I can have a bit of space to relax. My neck still in pain , I'm thinking of going to massage but I didn't feel like to go out from my house all the day (which I told ya, I spent it wisely to cover my sleep) so I just put a therapy lotion and massage myself. I thinks that's all for now. I'm going to bed... Hope to be back soon. Da...

Pesta Flora Putrajaya 2009

Date : 8th August 2009

Day : Saturday

Time : 5pm

Theme : Flora2 Cinta

PESTA FLORA SHOUT!

Time and venue set. This time so sweet group planned to visit Pesta Flora and what attracted us to go there was a hot balloon air ride. I went there with Nick and my niece, Arisha all wearing a floral print clothes. We gathered at Putrajaya Mosque, met Fizah n husband also with nephew, Kak Maz & Family, Kak Intan & Family plus Zety, Kak Ija n Miza. So can you all imagined betapa meriahnya our group.

Our theme.... FLORAL

Pesta Flora held once a year at Putrajaya. Since it was the last week of the exhibition, lots of visitor didn't want to miss the event. Not only Putrajaya dwellers, there were visitors from as far from Penang and Kedah also coming. Even the area was already packed when we reached there, but there was no problem to find parking. Salute to the the organizer for the very systematic of space arrangement. The event area was so spacious and divided into few sections based on the categories.

Our first destination was inside an air conditioner hall, where various type of flower displayed there. Lots of floral lover and photographer didn't want to miss this opportunity to get closer with these flowers.

Cantik bangat....!! I mean the flower :P

One happy family at home!

Outside of this hall, there was a park full with colorfull flowers that made you feel like you’re at oversea, like Paris or Amsterdam. (Berangan jauh tue……….). Since the H1N1 virus is still on the air, everybody was still very conscious about this disease as I saw most of them wore mask. I wondered that the numbers of visitor this year probably also drop slightly due to this virus.

We went to an orchid exhibition directly after took few photos at the park.

There was also a traditional dance performed by student from the primary school nearby.

And bazaar selling souvenirs, foods, plants and lots of things!

It just like we all waited for...... we heard an announcement that the hot air balloons were ready to launch, so anyone who interested to ride can register at the field area beside the car park.

The price for this ride was RM10 per-person and there were 3 balloons that we could pick and one trip would take around 15mins.

By the time we reached there, the line was already long, and we waited almost an hour to get into the balloon.

Tu dia... panjangkan!

Registered......

Berjaya!

If you learned about the hot balloon concept, the gas in the balloon will be heated so that it will become lighter than the ambient air. That will make the balloon floated. But since it almost dusk, the whether become chiller so it's quite difficult to heat the gas which made the balloon couldn't expand fully. In normal condition, 3 adults could have a ride on the balloon but in this new condition plus a bit windy, passenger had been reduced to 2 persons/balloon.

Posing2 sementara menunggu

Finally after lenguh2 kaki menunggu, it was my turn and Zetty. My niece naik balloon with Nick before me...

Dah malam dah time nie...

We got into the basket..

Fire burned to heat the gas inside the baloon..

Slowly, we went up..

When the balloon floated in the air, we were so “gayat” even nak amik gambar pun menggigil2. But I still managed to take a few snaps of Putrajaya's scenery at night.

There were 3 persons dlm balloon tu, us and abg jaga api, tp jangan harapla nak mintak abg tu tolong amik gamba kamikan. Amik sendiri hokey...

Landed safely... Alhamdulillah.

It was really a precious and unforgettable moment for me. 2 hours of waiting versus 15mins of air ride felt like worth it. After the ride, we all were so tired so decided to dismiss and went back to home.

Few photos before went home.

The Edge-Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Rat Race 2009

The Edge-Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Rat Race 2009 was held on the 11th of August this year for the 10th year of the event however it was my very first time representing my company's team, so as my company's first participation. This is an event where all the corporate Malaysian including the corporate chieftain pledge donations in the name of corporate social responsibility(CSR) and sweat it all out with a run around the heart of buzzling Kuala Lumpur. Held at the Bursa area itself, the race were divided into two categories, one called the CEO race which is a 1km dash run which the other is the executive race which cover a distant of 4.5km.

As per my previous blog, I did mentioned that my company already registered and participated in rat race marathon and cheer leading competition. As this was a first experience for all of us, we had a very moderate preparation in every aspects. For other's companies which had been entering before, they might have an experience and things on stock (something that usefull for supporting like costume, banner, pom2, props and etc) while we had to buy all the things new with a very tight budget. But lets don't put this excuse to spoil our enthusiasm, as our objectives to join were actually to represent and introduce our company, to build business relation with others and top of that to gain experience and enjoy on the same time. (well it's not everyday you can skip out of work and having fun rite).

So that was it, after 2 weeks of practice the day had come. I went to office and work normally in the morning but received an approval to go out at lunch hour for the event. There were 10 staffs participated in cheer leading where 4 of us went first to the Bursa KL by car with all our stuffs while another 6, including me went there by train. (it was indeed a wise decision made as we all knew how was the condition in KL area with traffic and parking problem).

We reached there around 2pm, had a lunch first (nasi bungkus yg dibelanja oleh penaja kami Ms BG Lau) and rushed to bersiap for the cheerleading.

It took sometimes to make up especially to put on the glittering dust to our eyelids and to paint our face. Luckily we had a very talented person, Shree beside of being a good dancer, she's also a part time nail and face painter.

The result was very impressive as we had many compliments from other's contestant who thought that our painting and make up were done by a pro!!

(Tada!! Here we go....)

The marathon started around 4pm & while waited for the runners to reach the finishing point, cheer leading competition took place on the stage. If I'm not mistaken there were around 10 companies all together performed the cheer leading. As per my expectation, most of the company did very well and entertaining. Nearly like the professional cheer leading that I watched on the TV but it didn't made me down at all, just a bit nervous that's all. When it was our turn, I just did my very best (we had only 3 mins to perform) and after it ended all the nervous feeling disappeared. Fizah, Kak Maz and K.Ija also came from office to support us (terharu kay...). All of us enjoyed the very moment of our life and took photos as much as we could as it was the first experience for all of us to take part in cheer leading. At least there's something to tell to your children later rite...

After the cheer leading ended, we had more photo shoot session (macam artis you... ) and directed to the finishing line to support our runners.

It was almost 6pm when we all dismissed and prepared for the the closing ceremony around 7pm. We took this chance to had a shower (mind you that Bursa building was so sophisticated that made me felt like in the hotel. The facilities were all complete so I could take shower conveniently). We gathered at the foyer of Bursa for dinner and enjoying the Prize Awarding Ceremony as well.

Though we did not win any prizes, it was still a great experience. We went back happily by train around 8pm. Walking from Menara Maybank area to LRT Plaze Rakyat, then took a commuter from Bandar Tasik Selatan to Serdang, it's really a prostrate journey. By the time I reached home, I felt so flat. Quickly went to my bed and immediately once my head touched the pillow I was already in a deep sleep (snoring loudly perhaps...hehehe) as that was one of the exhausting day in my life. Didn't even had chance to recall back what I had done in this one whole day as tomorrow I woke up, lots of work waiting at the office. One thing for sure, I would certainly looking forward to participate again next year and improve on our performance. One good thing about joining with this kind of xtvt, I tend to get closer with my office mates and get to know more people as well in my company. Thanks to all for the opportunity.
