PD Last Day - Cape Rachado Lighthouse
It was the last day of our trip. We woke up early at 8am (okies awal ke tu..??) for breakfast. Lambat2 nanti lauk habis. The buffet breakfast was included in our package so we walked to the main building where the restaurant located next to the lobby.
Iolss malu, ketamak-halobaan Iolss jelas kelihatan di situ…
The food was just ok.... and the Nasi lemak a bit “kureng” skit. :D
After breakfast, we went for “sight-seeing” walk at the resort area. Since Trisya wanted to swim at the pool, we sat at the lounge chair provided around the pool and chit-chat, posing, dreaming.... all the non-beneficial xtvt. Heheheheh...
P/S : Can you spot who was actually dreaming at the below photos? :D
View of our block from the pool
Next, we went back to our room and started to pack for checked out.
Photos of our room. It was quite spacious with 3 single beds and the wall was very colourfull uolss. Ko ade?? Sorry for the “un-tidiness”, dah nk balik. Macam tu le ghopenye…
All of us gathered at the lobby. Nor was not in the picture.
Photo at the lobby with Nor after completed the check out process.
Group photo at the counter.
One more...:D
Good bye Casa Rachado Beach Resort. We really had a pleasant stay here.. (Ermm except the stairs and Nasi Lemak. Hehehheeh....)
So Sweet Grup pose!
Our resort located near the Firehouse of Tanjung Tuan (Rumah Api). I had put it on my itinerary to go there however because we had baby and preggie member with us, I was not confident either my proposal would be accepted or not. Surprisingly, Fairul was excited with the plan and others had no objection at all. Suma mengikut sahaja. So this was our next destination........... to Rumah Api Tanjung Tuan.
Rumah Api Tg Tuan/Cape Rachado Light House
A bit of info about Rumah Api Tanjung Tuan, it was built by the British in the 18th century on the highest point of the cape. The site of the light house is said to be the same site where an old light house was built by the Portuguese during their occupation of Melaka in the 16th century which was later destroyed in a war. It is the oldest lighthouse in the country and still in use today. In the 1990s, a radar for monitoring purposes of crossings by large ships was installed in the light house. On a bright and clear day, one can see Sumatra Island across the Straits of Malacca. The light house is controlled by the Shahbandar of Melaka as Tanjung Tuan is a territory of Melaka even though it is located in Port Dickson, N9.
The entrance to Tanjung Tuan Forest Reserve located right at the mouth of Ilham Resort which was just few metres from our resort. We could just walk there from our resort, however since we already checked out, we went to park our car at the Ilhan resort and started our expedition.
The sign... lets go!
Rumah Api Tanjung Tuan, Teluk Kemang Port Dickson.
Group photo taken at the entrance before the climbing started
There's a post guard where you can buy the ticket here. Any vehicles are not permitted to enter this gate without a consent from the guard. So far hanya motor eskrem jer yg lepas lalu sini.
Ticket price, RM1 for adult. So cheap isn't?
And our journey began. We needed to take a walk up hill from the recreational forest's main entrance to the top of the hill where the famous light house located. It took about 15-20 mins to reach the top. Mmg lenguh siot…. I made to understand that there is also a walk along the jungle trails for a closer encounter with nature however obviously it is not suitable with our condition right now.
Nevertheless, using the normal road like this also made me felt like hiking, but you wouldn't feel so much tired as U will enjoy a scenery of flora and fauna along the way.
Luckily there were few check points for those who wanted a short nap. Catch up our breath, loosen our joints… :)
You will come to the end of the road when you see this…
But don’t expect you are finished yet, coz the real challenge actually started from here. It’s the stairs.. There are 66 flight of steps leading to the light house. To reach the peak of the light house, one has no choice rather than to face it. Another climb to the top!
At last, we made it!!
A bit frustrated as the Light House actually is not open for visitors. I heard one of the tourist moaned. Well I do feel him coz we climbed the road and the stairs just to see the Fire House from outside? Better tgk dr bawah je tadi kan...
But hey wait..!! It was all before we saw this....
Besides the Light House... from this vantage point, we could also see the town of Port Dickson and the outline of Indonesia's Sumatra across the Straits of Melaka. It got lots to offer you see...
So Sweet Grup started to pose
A lil' bit more...
What's more... this point is also a well known hot-spot for geek birders. Yes, come every March or Sep, every birder around the region would descend to this spot to look at the impressive raptors (eagles, buzzards, etc) and forest birds in the surrounding reserve area. Well since we came on the Dec, no luck for us to watch it.
Posing la lebey :D
We had it enough up the hill, so we went down back.
Thirsty, tired... Kak Maz knew how to deal with it!!!
Lepaks2 menikmati ice-cream under Kak Maz's treat. Emkosai cecey!!!
Finally once we reached back at the entrance, we took one last group photo before headed to our final destination for this trip, Teluk Kemang.
Entry for Teluk Kemang will be continued in next post. Stay tuned!!

SWG HITS PD - CASA RACHADO RESORT
Continued from my last post on SWG HITS PD Part I, we went to check in at Casa Rachado Resort around 4pm.
The Entrance
Me posed at the lobby...
While Nor did all the check in business for all of us!
BEACH CALLS @ CASA RACHARDO
Hoyyey... finally we got our room keys. This hotel got a few blocks and luckily all of us were in the same block, only in different levels. ZT who was pregnant got the 1st floor, Kak Maz and Fizah on the 2nd floor while Nor, Dhiya n me who shared one room, suffered the top level among all. Mind you no elevator, we had to climb to the 6th floor, plus it were only 2 rooms available on that floor and one was empty. Very high and isolated.. Nasib baik bertiga, if just two of us sure creepy....
Oh ya, to go to our block was another story. Previously we parked at the field in-front of the lobby to check in. However, it was a bit far to walk from our car to the block so we needed to drive out from the resort and take another exit to our block. There was a parking space provided but very limited.
The view from our room overlooked the beach. Aha... story about room, actually our room was facing the Recreational Park of Tg. Tuan (means view hutan je la yg nampak). However it was connected with the next room which a family type room. How did we know? Because the door connected the next room with ours was unlocked. We could freely went to visit there, and that room was fully equipped with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, hall and balcony facing the beach.
And that was how this picture came from. At the family room balcony, we took the opportunity to enjoy the beach view and cam-whored.
One more view utk tatapan anda!
Finally, saat yg di tunggu2. We changed our cloth and went down to the beach for outdoor xtvt at 5pm.
Semangat, even nak kena menapak turun balik tangga. Tinggikan bilik kami?
Baby Danial also ready to support mama & papa!!
Lots of group had their outdoor xtvt as well...
SWG to the beach!
Found a strategic port for picnic and to play a game. Bentang tikar and prepare ape yg patut.
As ussual all the xtvt was organized by the one and only, Abg Yus (Kak Maz husband). As a jury, he was independent and cannot be influenced even by his very own wife. Baguskan. Very firm and strict.
As you can see, before the game started, we had a short briefing by Abg Yus.
Focus la plak bdak2 nie, ke pretend jer tu... :D
Apa2 pun before main, we needed to form 2 groups. Since there were 8 peoples of us (with 2 men), and one of the rule was each man cannot be in one group with their wife. So the result of group division was like this...................
TEAM A : Fizah, Nor, Dhiya and Hero, Abg Mau (Muka excited masing2 dpt satu grup):)
Which left of course Kak Maz, Zetty, Me and Hero, Fairul in TEAM B.
Guess what was our first task...?? Huh, each group was assigned to present a group cheering. Hahahahaha mmg benefit to TEAM B la. Dah namanya ZT and I was in the office's cheer-leading group. Nak2 lg all of us are "sporting" type of person and mmg kaki layan hiburan. Kira "entertainment-literate" la nie. We also had no problem to cooperate with Fairul coz he already joined SWG xtvt few times before. Familiar faces.. :D
Hahahaha, TEAM A obviously got some difficulties. I knew they had a tough time to create the steps and chanting. On contrary with us, all of them mmg "badan-kejung" type. How to dance......? What's more, Abg Mau n Dhiya just joined the SWG grup so "the ice was still didn't break" yet that time and they might be "shy2 cat" to each one of them.
10 minutes given ended. We were about to present our cheering.
Fasten your seat belt peeps as we are going to enjoy the performance from...........TEAM A!!!
Clap...clap...!! Not bad huh. Nampaknya aksi melompat dan melentik badan di ketengahkan. (sape kata diaorg kejung.. HAHAHAHHA)
Next... don't move just yet, because you will be entertained by a performance from second group....... TEAM B!!!
Boombastic kan...?? Nampak sgt bias kat group sendiri.... :P
The cheering was recorded by Abg Yus and he will show it to few public peoples for them to review and evaluate our performance (habisla performance kami yg memalukan itu di jaja ke sana ke mari)...
Next we continued with other games.
We played about 4 games that evening and each game got few rounds. Unfortunately TEAM B only won 3 times out of 8 rounds if I'm not mistaken. Bad performance uh!
The sun had almost setting down, and everyone...... one by one left the beach back to their room. We ended our game and had a picnic first to enjoy the sunset scenery.
Local fruits (mangosteen and cat-eye "mata kucing") di taja oleh Kak Maz. She brought it at the PD toll and the taste was satisfactory. Isi tebal and manis!!
Sweet moments with the So Sweet Grup!!
Went back to our hotel, prepared for dinner. Buli Dhiya tolak troli sblm menapak balik naik tingkat 6. Huhuhu.....
NIGHT AT PD WITH SWG
Our xtvt at night began with dinner of course. After had our bath & performed Maghrib prayer, we were ready to go out and explored for the best place to dine.
Struggled, it was a school holiday so every places were full of people. We went to more than 3 restaurants but no seats for us. Nak entertain kitaorg pun x sempat. From Teluk Kemang to PD town, at last we went to one restaurant opposite the Rumah Zaitun which not to be so congested with people.
We ordered set just nice for 10 peoples...
Dan ini hasilnya!!!
Gelagat di meja makan. Dr muka ketat, kembali ceria setelah meja makan penuh dengan aneka jenis hidangan. Conclusionnya, pepatah "kenyang perut suka hati" mmg betul2 tepat!!
Nie la kedai makannya. BARAKAT TOMYAM SEAFOOD. The food was not bad. Service ok. Kerana membuatkan kami kenyang, I wish U "barakah" in all your business. Amin...
After dinner, we went back to our hotel. Not yet straight to our room, we hanged out at the cafe called SAMBA CAFE.
But not inside the cafe. We chose to sit outside near the hotel pool area..
While listening to the amateur singers "menyumbangkan" suara at the karaoke lounge..........
We had a final battle between TEAM A & TEAM B. However Fizah & Fairul, member from both team couldn't join us that night as their baby already fell asleep.
Perjuangan harus di teruskan. With the remaining members left, we proceed with the last game of that day......... BINGO.
It was the biggest lost for TEAM B that night. OMG!!! It was not our lucky day indeed. Asyik kalah jer. All the accumulated points from the first game were collected by Abg Yus and he will announce the winner only on the closing day which of course on the next day la...
We went back to our room late that night. XTVT was packed so once our head touched the comfort pillow, we quickly entered the dream zone. It was coincidence that none of us could pray that time due to the "period" of the month. At least if someone can pray, we felt a bit protected coz all the "Shyaiton" will run with the bacaan2 ayat Al-Quran rite? Alhamdulillah and tired maybe... even our block was near the forest, we didn't encounter neither bad experience nor unease feeling at all. Ade dgr2 jgk yg area tmpat kami tu "keras". Not in our resort exactly, but resort next to it... (Its a hint, you find urself...), however baby Danial pun xde meragam. Syukur sgt2.. We had enough rest and woke up freshly on the next day.
So peeps, this is the end of SWG Trip to PD part II. I will continue on the final chapter next time. Stay tuned and have a good day!!
REGARDS,
LOVELEEN...
