SWG hits Port Dickson - Part 1

It has been a yearly activity for SWG to go for holiday. Furthermore with the existence of "Tabung Ade-Ade", we kept about RM10-week into the fund and by the end of the year the lumpsum amount of our collections will be used for SWG vacation.. Brilliantkan...?? :D

For the year of 2011, we managed to get total RM500/each from the fund (we started a bit late so the amount was not much). However that still considered a big figure and sufficient for our vacation trip.

So where was our destination this time? Any Guess....? :D Alrite I tell you... This time, SWG finally "roxx" Port Dickson!! Why PD?? Even it's a common beach in Malaysia, nearer and I already went there twice this year smpai nk termuntah dah..... it's a majority decision. This was due to our consideration toward SWG member, ZT yg preggie that time. Of course further destination would not be suitable for her. As for me, I believed every holiday will bring a different experiences. Apetah lg pergi ngan group lain, lain org mesti lain ragamkan....

Oh ya, we also stayed at the different resort than I went with my family before. It was a school holiday so we couldn't find any available house/apartment. All were fully booked so the only choice was to reserve a hotel and the only hotel available was Casa Richardo Resort near Teluk Kemang area. This resort is famous among visitors to conduct a training/gathering/conference or organizing any events. Price was quite affordable and located at blue lagoon near the Casa Ricardo Fire House.

We departed from KL at 10am where I, Dhiya and Nor in one car followed by Fizah-hubby & Kak Maz family. Traffic was a bit congested near the Nilai area however we managed to reach PD as per estimated time arrival around 1pm.

Updating the other members on location. (Ignore my nail color. Perasan camtikss)

LUNCHEON AT NASI KUKUS AYAM PANGGANG, PD

It was already lunch time, so first destination we went was of course a place to fill in our stomach. We got attracted with one restaurant which full of customers and looked unique. As we got the typical mentality that "Full means Best", so we parked our car and joined the crowd. The mentioned restaurant was .....

So Sweet Grup without ZT yg masih belum smpai ketika ini..

Duduk2 trus amik gamba...

As you can see, this restaurant had an unique theme that made it outstanding from other restaurant (even in term of taste wise, it just in average level). The decoration was very cowboy like.

Left : Presenting to U our new member of SWG Junior, Danial! He is Fizah new born son and this was his first experience joined papa+mama for holiday. Nasib x byk ragam. Cayalah...Yay!!

Right : We had their recommended specialist dish, chicken BBQ rice. Most of the menus here were grill-based dishes.

Menu yg so-so and a bit tasteless... (frankly)

After had our stomach filled, we took a picture in front of the restaurant where they displayed varieties type of cowboy hat. Enough for us to took one each and had a photo shoot. Presented to you... Cow-babes!

More and more group photos....

Cow-babes and Cow-baby..

Ok, last pose!

PD OSTRICH SHOWFARM

Xtvt after lunch, we went to the Ostrich Farm that located along the way to our Hotel. Usually when Port Dickson is mentioned, the beaches will come into mind first since it is mainly famous for that. So, I wouldn’t have guessed that an ostrich farm would be here as well. To be honest I wasn’t too keen on visiting the farm at first but since it was recommended by many people who visited it before, I went anyway. It is just a small area but having quite a lot of ostriches in here. (Well dah nama pun Ostrich Farm kan, xkan nak ade unta plak kt sini..)

Took Danial stroller for a walk

Welcome note

The entrance fee is RM8 for adults and RM4 for kids, quite pricey for a mini zoo if you ask me.. We could tour all the area to watch the animals, feed them and took photo.

Motif...?? Konon ala frame gambar la nie..

Funnily enough, the first animal we went to see was the goat at the petting zoo instead of ostriches lol.

Yes U saw it right, kambing pun ada. Khas utk uptown people yg jakun x pernah tgk kambing. And yes... foreigner too. Meet local goats peeps!! (Psssttt... the black goat was so macho, x layan gua amik gamba.. serius je muka)

Untitled-5

Next, ostrich hot chicks.. (ok saje tambah "hot" tu)

The nicest looking male ostrich, handsome looking but big bald spot, lack of feathers at the bottom.

We bought some animal feed at RM2 each box which contained yellow corn and proceeded to the feeding area. Funny thing was all the adults were scared to feed the ostrich. This is because ostrich has a rather long and sharp beak that would hurt your fingers when they peck the food from your hand. We just scared if the ostrich bite our palm when it wanted to grab the foods so we just threw the foods to the ostrich instead.

Only Trisya yg berani, yg besar suma hampeh....

Ok Fairol too... kena jaga air muka gak kan. Tunjuk berani la.

Untitled-6

Other adults just took photo with the junior ostrich.

Ok, when there's a junior, there must be senior right?? Lets take a look!!!

An Ostrich with a flirting eyes.

Aiks... what da hell I was doing right there??

Owh... skodeng (peek) ostrich eggs rupanya!

This is called a "shy-shy" ostrich poses.

Untitled-7

Keeping an eye contact with the ostrich

Emergency room...

I think the management should add "for children only" note here. Imagine the thin ostrich legs to support our (adults) weight?? Pity...

Cute little chickens however I don't think I have to travel this far just to see it. I can watch it straight from my house since my neighbor also breed the chickens. :)

Untitled-15

After feeding session completed, we went to the cafe located inside the farm.

We saw this sign ... Satay ostrich an had a try. It's fair what... td kita bg dia makan skrg kita makan dia balik. That is a cycle of life. Hahhahahaa!!

Posed at the cafe

Ade displayed old trishaw kat cafe tu, so jd props bergamba la nampaknya

Believe it or not, the ostrich egg can support the weight of a grown up man, up to 120++kg!!

Untitled-8

You can step on it with your bare feet. Confirm x pecah!

Heavy duty egg. Tgk pun dah nmpak solid jer...

Daging ostrich agak tebal and liat so membakarnya juga mengambil masa yg lama. Luckily they got the electrical fan, klau x nak mengipas manual jenuh woo...

Check the price babes!!

Excited faces except Fairul who looked a bit bored. Hungry perhaps?

Yezar... finally it's ready!

Unsur2 ke"tamak"kan berlaku di sini..

Ostrich meat is one of the best meat you can eat in the world for being low in fat. The meat was tough, dry and had a rough texture however in taste wise, it was good!

Once we finished the satay & bought some souvenirs (fridge magnet of course).... we went out from the park. Its nearly 4.30pm where we needed to check in at the hotel and getting ready for the outdoor games at the beach. Yeay... cant wait!!

But before that, our visit will not be completed if there's no group photo of us..

One moment ZT wasn't here...

And one moment she was here.. Hoyye cukup korum!!

Final picture

Where was our next destination?? To be continued in PD Trip with SWG Part II.

Till then, stay tuned peeps..............
