Fraser Hill Town - A Little England

If you ask me to describe Fraser Hill, what comes to mind is pretty. It really is. You want to know why? Where do I even start – the green hills, the flowers, the colonial bungalows, the landscaped gardens, the mist, the birds, I can go on. It reminds me on the TV series Midsomer Murders. I don't know... the view, the air, the chillness... Fraser Hill has been called as little England. I think that was it, an English touch of this town had made me felt like in Midsomer, England. Never been there though, just imagined it :P

A brief history about Fraser Hill. FH got its name from Louis James Fraser, a Scottish who opened a tin-ore trading post in 1890s. Strangely Fraser got lost in the jungle and never was found. After 25 years, his buddy from Singapore, decided to check out the matter and instead found the hill to be the ideal place for British officers to relax, unwind and recuperate. So began the building of the retreat bungalows and hence the creation of Little England @ Fraser’s Hill.. Really mysterious huh? I wonder what has happened to him? Klau zaman skrg mesti org suspect that he created his own missing to claim an insurance. Ok influence byk sgt tgk drama.Heheheh...... Read the history HERE.

Back to our trip, the first place we went was a place to fill our stomach.

Food Court next to the park... It was easy to locate as it just near the town.

There were few cafes available. We had our lunch here.

It's either the food was really tasty or I was damn starving that time.
The price was pricey but what do you expect when you're up the hill inside the quiet little town like this.

We found a souvenir shop next to our cafe and bought our Fridge Magnet straight away. Quite a few choices here and it's a bit cheaper than the souvenir shop at centre of the town.

Lepas makan, posed jap kat kawasan cafe.

Once filled up, we continued to our main destination. The Town. Hooorayyy!!! It took max 5mins only to reach there. Sgt dekat, jalan kaki pun boleh :D

Took last photo at the food court area

Arrived at Fraser Hill Square...the main town area. We parked our car here.

The Bird Interpretive Centre at my back. Did you noticed the temp. displayed on top of the building. 0 deg celcius?? Are you kidding? It was cool there however I don't think it reached the freezing point yet. Maybe the sensor was faulty.

Posing...

There in the middle of the street is a tiny roundabout with the must photographed clock tower ;)

This is the picture of the landmark of Fraser's Hill, the clock tower.

The British-looking little stone building covered with creeper vines. It was designed by Malaysian Landscape Architect Z. Jaal for Frasers Hill Development Corporation in 1989.

Group photo at clock tower welcoming you to FH.

It was a bit gloomy when we reached here and temperature was around 17°C, just nice to go for a walk around the hill, thanks to its 1524 m elevation.
Since Fraser's Hill is a small place, you can get around by walking from one end to the other. With the cool of the highlands and surrounding rainforest, it actually feels pretty refreshing to use your legs.

The police station. I think this was once somebody's bungalow. Really nice!!! I will surely be jumping of happiness if anybody would give me this Tudor style bungalow ;)

Opposite the Police Station is a Clinic. Also a colonial bungalow type.

Front view

The fogs made the photo looks gloomy. Ala2 Sleepy Hollow movie pun ye jugak! (Pengaruh TV lagikk)

The post office.

Not sure what is this. Another handsome looking old bungalow. I love everything about it...
The air, the view was so refreshing!!

The town was so cute, calm and quiet. Luckily it was not a peak season so not much visitors around. See how small the town is. The FH square at my back.

The signage. We headed to the Golf Field located just next to the Bird Interaction Centre.

Cuba sebut nama jalan tu. Jalan Lady Geli Mat... Geli Matt!!

Ade ke org nak main golf kat sini? Xkebas ke tangan tu?? Freezing beb!

The square area. Feeling ronda park kat London la kononnya nie...

2nd landmark of Fraser Hill.

Sesi photo-gedix at the square.

Look at all these pictures made me wondered..... who says Malaysia isn't beautiful? I felt blessed!

It almost dawn when we went back to our Resort. The environment became more chill and dark.

x cukup2, sambung posing at the balcony.

Banjaran Titiwangsa was magnificent!!

Such a breath taking views!

At night, we just hang out in our living room and had a game. So happening as everybody was so supportive and sporting to take part on the game. As ussual, all the games were prepared by Aby Yus. We played BINGO, WIN LOOSE OR DRAW, and others indoor xtvt. Best... best... best!! We finished our game late at night and went to bed.

To be continued on our Last day at FH....
