Meet Shrek, The Ogre
I went to watch Shrek with my Niece, Arisha at Mines last Saturday. After movie ended, we ate at Carls Junior and on the way to went out from Mines, we passed the centre court where it got a main stage there. We were so lucky as on that day, Mines also promoting the Shrek movie so we could see lots of people were in queue to take photo with Shrek. Then kami pun apalagi, quickly joined the long line as my niece was so excited and it was a rare chance to get closer with that famous cartoon's character.

Gegurl Admitted
My niece, Farisha (nick name Gegurl) has been admitted at KPMC (Kajang Plaza Medical Care)due to the lung infection. My sister and hubby needs to stay there overnight which left me at home with Arisha (the eldest), Hayqal and bibik.
Their room/private ward was very comfartable. Ade TV, DVD Player, Sink, Sofa bed and attached toilet which made you feel like in a hotel. (Well padanla dgn harga diakan..., mau RM150/night nie).
Gegurl posing. Well she does'nt look ill here, but trust me... my sister had a tough night to look after her as her body temp normally increase and fever will attack at night.
Alhamdullilah, I just got a call from my sister informing that Gegurl can discharge tomorrow. It's already 2 days my sister ber"kampung" at KPMC. Cant wait to see my lovely Gegurl. Semoga cepat sembuh sayang!!

Mother's Day - Lawatan Kaum Ibu ke Terengganu.
The last time I went to Terengganu (oh I forgot I just back from Redang last month), or to be specific to Pak Uda's house at Paka, was 4 years ago. Currently my uncle already moved to Rantau Petronas at Kerteh. I was so excited to see if there's any changes there as I usually heard that Kerteh was a hollow town eventhough it is known as a Petroleum hub in penisular Malaysia..
Im not in da mood to write 2nite so why dont we just let the pictures tell you the story. I already prepared some choronologies here...
A bit about my journey, first I will go to pick up my mom at Tampin, then straight to Makcik Kuntom's house at Jasin. Since Jasin already at the end of Malacca border and next to Tangkak Johor (1/2hr drive), we were not going to use KL-Karak highway, instead we used the Segamat-Muadzam Shah route (Tun Razak Highway) to Terengganu.
I started my trip at 10.30pm after berakfast.
Kajang to Malacca using LEKAS highway, exited at Seremban and using "jalan lama" to Tampin.
Reached Tampin around 12pm, picked up my mom next my aunt at Jasin then countinued our journey. It was only at Tangkak then we stopped for lunch around 2.30pm.
Finally... not yet arrived, just reached Gambang, Pahang and rest again to scretch my muscles. Mind you that I drove along the way of this journey... kasi "can" kat kaum ibu berbual2 and menikmati pemandangan.
P/S : Imagine numerous hour of driving without music, listened to "kaum ibu" gossiping an issues that were outside my interest, plus I will irritate my mom if I took lots of photo, such a very CONSERVATIVE trip if you asked me. But YES I already considered all these factors so Im not complaining. Yet I can still called it as an interesting and thrill experiences. Why I say thrill... to cope with "kaum Ibu" taste and style were quite challenging... nevertheless it was Mother's Day, so layan je la kehendak diaorg...
From Kuantan, it took another 100km so after few stops to loo and refilled car fuel, we reached Pak Uda's house nearly at 7pm. Its nearly dusk that time...
Nothing much to do on the first day here. It just a gathering of my mom siblings, chit chat while Pak Uda's brought us for dinner at the restaurant nearby. We had a seafood (as ussual la kalau dh sampai Terengganukan..) then an awesome drinks, APPLE ASAM BOI. It was so delicious unfortunately I felt so embarassed to take a photo of the drink infront of my mom and aunt. I told ya earlier, it will annoy my mom. Macam jakun lak kan.... After dinner I was so tired (penat tgk konsert kelmarin pun belum habis lagik), so I just leave them to continue the talk (after all that was the point of our visit pun...), I found my bed then quickly felt asleep due to my exhaustion. Pikir2 balik I already passed 6 states all together(Slgr-N9-Malacca-Johore-Phg-Trgganu) in one day, what a record!! Mmg patut flat pun.

Day 2
Morning at Terengganu...
Kaum ibu menikmati breakfast dan pemandangan pagi di Kerteh
Our plan for that day was to visit Pasar Payang, mana lagi tempat2 favourite kaum ibu nak shoppingkan... both Pak Uda n Mak Uda were working that day, so it just 3 of us once more. We headed to Kuala Terengganu (another 120km with approximate 1 and a 1/2hr of journey from Kerteh) right after breakfast around 9.30am.
Sampai KT at 11am, parked near Masjid Sultan Zainal Abidin area.
Jom..jom... Kaum ibu got all excited!
Citarasa kaum ibu... No..no not the silks.. it's the KAFTANs!!
Varieties of food on the groud floor. My mom borong sakan telur penyu. Huh!!
Since it was a working day, not much shoppers went to Pasar Payang so we could shop quite in peace. We finished our shopping also quite early around 1pm, then on the way back to Kerteh, we stopped at Chenderiang beach for lunch "ala" Terengganu.
I had a coconut drink while both my mom and aunt ordered ABC. Awesome!!
Then all of us merasa Nasi Air
Bestnya makan tepi pantai sambil ditiup angin sepoi2 bahasa... rasa mcm nak tido je kat sini
OMG, kaum Ibu went wild, before masuk keta both of the sisters decided to feel a touch of sea water.. even under the heat of the sun.

At night, once more Pak Uda brought us to dinner. This time we ate western food lak... We went to the brand new Mall called Mesra Mall (wow this is new!!).
A bit about Mesra Mall, it is known to be the biggest shopping mall on east coast of Malaysia, located in Kerteh, Terengganu. It was opened on October 2008, so basically people from Terengganu dont have to go far up to Kuantan to shop anymore as lots of branded boutiques and shops available here. There are also a sport section like squash & Futsal, plus the entertainment section like cinema and Bowling Centre, but still under construction. :P
Below is a brief map showing the road to Mesra Mall, i think it is very easy to get there.

Back to our dinner story, we went to Secret Recipe. If U notice, this restaurant has been rated as A, VERY CLEAN status. Good!
Dont worry neither my Aunt or Mom paid this.... all under Pak Uda's treat!! But I wonder why both my mom and aunt were soo concentrate calculated money in this photo...
Full with scrumptios foods, we all went home. Yg lain xtvt biasa, chatting all night long as this was the last night for us at Terengganu. I also as ussual, find my bed and went to sleep.

Bersiap2 balik after breakfast
Stopped by to buy keropok lekor. Mmg borong habis keropok, sata, sos cicah kat sini.
Alhamdullilah, even I had forced my car to extend it energy back 2 back for 3 days, we managed to reach Jasin, dropped my aunty around 5pm and countinued journey with my mom and finally reached home (Kajang) at 6.30pm. Maybe you might find it's not a very interesting trip as it's more to family visit, however as long as I'd make my mother happy, Im happy to. Eventhough I'm so tired, and thinking about work on the next day, I had try very hard to hide my exhaustion from my mom as I dont want to make her think that Im not sincere in doing all this. I'm so satisfed that I could do something to cheer her up. Take is as an advance Mother's Day gift.
To my mom, I love you so much. Nothing in the world can replace you and HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY!!!

DOUBLE TROUBLE CONCERT
Excited, at 6.30pm I went out from house to pick up Kayrie at Cheras Baru. Lina also arrived right on time, so we all car pooled with my car to Bukit Kiara using Kerinci Link. So far the traffic was smooth until we reached Damansara area, the first sign of chaosity slightly emerged.
We reached at National Science Centre area at 8.15pm. The area was already concentrated with cars, to avoid hassle in searching a parking, we just parked our car at the road site even the Equestrian Resort is still 2km ahead. We choose to walk rather than berhimpit2 keta parking at the concert area (infact kat sini pun kereta dah beratur panjang). I wondered why the organizer choose to perform the concert here as this is the elite area. Tempat orang kaya main kuda. Parking area was limited and of course people got no choice to park their car properly. I saw here and there the cars were blocking the traffic. This had me think why UNGU (band from Indonesia who on the same day had also perform a concert) can get a place at Bukit Jalil Stadium of course with sufficient facilities and spacious area while 2 Malaysian MEGA-Rock band just got the place that hassle for the fans to watch. No public transport, far and limited space. Is it a Double Standard?? However all these does'nt stop all the die hard fan to experience the greatest performance from 2 legend of Rock band ever!!
Most people came with cars which gave me an impression that most of Search and Wings supporters were already married and came with family. As these band were famous at the 80's, of course the suppoters are among people in the age of 35 and above. Ini sekaligus menunjukkan bahawa peminat Search dan Wings merentasi zaman. Sudah turun dari generasi ke genrasi baru. Dulu bapak minat, sekarang anak pula yang follow. Berapa ramai band atau penyanyi di Malaysia yang sehebat begini?
After about 15mins of walking plus 10 mins berasak2 depan stadium, finally we made it into the stadium, and choose to stand and the centre of the stadium. We arrived a bit late, so we have to watch it from some distance, but managed to snap few pictures of the photos.
As DJ Ismahalil, the emcee that nite announced the opening of the concert, all the 20,000 fans cheered in excitement!
Sharp at 8.45pm, the concert started with the killer song of Double Trouble … GEMURUH! Such a wise choice of song selection to nail our feet on the ground.
Para penonton terus melonjak kegirangan dan turut menyanyikan sekali. Yang mana bawa famili dan sudah berumur, mereka hanya menonton dari tempat duduk stadium. Yang mana masih muda dan bertenaga, mereka berdiri di tengah padang (like us). After that, both Search & Wings took turn to perform & at the later part, again combining performing their songs.
First half of the concert, Search dan Wings came with the un-friendly/un-commercial songs. Only the true hardcore might know the songs. However in the middle of the concert, the killer songs like Balada Pemuzik Jalanan, Isi atau Kulit, Gadisku, Fenomena, Opera Hidup, Misteri Mimpi Syakila, Sejati, Taman Rashidah Utama and Sejati were performed. This time fans were already become histeria. Sampai ada yang pengsan. Biasalah tu, terlebih seronok agaknya.
Keunikkan konsert kali ini, we were just not entertained by a vocal challenge from Amy n Awie,
they also appreciated their backbones as the drummer Yazid (Search) and Black (Wings)and Guitarist Kid (Search) and Joe (Wings) also "berentap" to show their skills and expertice.
15mins with great performance and really SUPERB!!
My most favourite moment was when they performed Nur Nilam Sari and Semalam Yg Hangat (yes both from Wings even they sang in duo)where I enjoyed the most and had it recorded. Honestly even I under estimated Awie stamina in the beginning, I think Wings was more "menonjol" than Search. Awie vocal can still "pukul" and did'nt "pancit" at all. Maybe of the age factor (Wings is much younger than Search) and the song selection. Ape2 pun nothing can compare the 2 bands as they are special in their own leage and consider an asset to our music industry.

Lina was so excited to take picture with this guy (he and his member one team wore a very 80's attire completed with wig, bandana, thight pants and what so ever). According to Kayrie mamat nie pelakon, no wonder la Jambu kan.... :P
Overall, I really enjoyed the concert. Worth the RM70 paid. Kalau ade yg kurang pun its just when they sang the killer songs in medley. Bukan ape x puas la...
Concert ended at 12pm. After almost 3hrs standing, thinking of kena menapak lagi 2km balik, adoi. Org ramai berasak2 keluar, we bought some drinks and headed to our car. Flatted, sampai2 umah terus mandi and went to bed.
Back in 17 years ago, when the first Double Trouble concert held, I was still young. Never came cross in my mind that the following 17 years, on the 1st May 2010, I will be one of the history of 2nd Double Trouble Concert! To Search dan Wings - Thanks for all the great shows. Lu orang memang otai brader!!
P/S : Konsert UNGU at Stadium Putra only 2000 orang yang datang. Konsert Tokio hotel kat OU yang ada bunkface pun 4000 je. Yang pergi buat konsert serentak dengan otai apahal? Bole bukak sikit mata2 penganjur yg asyik mendewakan penyanyi dr luar. Just to add, Awie did mentioned that they will have the next Double Trouble Concert sometime in June, with venue at Stadium Larkin, Johor Bahru. So for the Southern Rockers, watch out, here come the Double Trouble. I bet U wont never regret!!

Second Visit to Terengganu 2010
Just back from the concert, really had a blast!!!! I was so flatted, just had a quick glance on my emails n FB comments as I will be out of town for 3 days. Tomorrow will be another long day... Read my PREVIOUS BLOG if you still dont know where Im going to or what is the real story. So gotta go everybody, see you once Im back from Terengganu. I will update my Double Trouble experience and my trip as well. Count on me and I wont let U down bebeh. Da....
