Night at Ao Nang Beach, Krabi

NONG EED RESORT

I'll start my post with a bit of review of our accommodation. Hmmmm... we had a bad experiences here. 1st, we had the superior room which was spacious and comfortable for two. The hotel located strategically at centre of the town. You could see McDonald, Subway, Starbucks, 7E and banks just opposite the hotel! Sadly our room didn't face the main road area and the view became a view of the construction site at the back of our hotel instead.

2nd, the room had the basic necessities like a safe, hair dryer, and a small television, however the kettle was not available (no free bottle water though) and we had to ask for hot water at the kitchen which I found a bit hassle since they didn't speak English much. Distance from our room to the lobby also was quite a walk!! The owner was a pregnant lady but not friendly at all. She didn't bother to welcome us or at least smile where what she did the whole time was playing with her mobile phone. Sarcastic!!
Note : It was once we came back from the trip, then I read the review from TripAdvisor about this hotel and it was bad!! Dah nasib kami agaknya and nasib la duduk hotel x lamakan.... Experience jugakla even the bad one.

So remember my fellow fren, Nong Eed Resort is a NO! Not recommended!!

Ok back to our business here... after settling our stuff in the room, we set out to explore Ao Nang. We took a nice long walk to the beach and the main street facing the beach with its row of cafes and restaurants.

This is Tuk-Tuk (Motor Taxi)

Lots of shopping places here

We continued our walk down the main Ao Nang street and decided to settle for dinner at Noori India Restaurant. We went in because the signboard showed that it served pastas, pizzas, Thai and Indian food so we thought some fusion food might be interesting. But the most important things it was HALAL.
Note : Food? Halal food is everywhere. Along the street, there are waiters mostly Pakistani/Indian holding a menu booklet and ushered you to their restaurant. You could see most of the shops are putting the Halal sign and I believed the traders are also Muslim people. So, no worries :D

We had a Thai food. Tom Yam a must, black pepper tauhu, sweet sour chicken and pulut mangga. Overall the food was ok. But it was a bit pricy...well tgk restoran la kan. It cost about 500 Bhat (RM50). Unless if you go to the stall, should be cheaper skit la.

I'm not into pulut (glutinous rice) honestly. But this pulut mangga was exceptional. Served with the coconut milk... sgt sedap!!!

Ok air nie mmg kompem sedap!!

Statue at the Ao Nang square.

Yes... I was here!!

Enough with our tour at Ao Nang street, we went back to our hotel. We needed to recharged back our energy for the big day on the next day. Yeay we will be going for island hopping tomorrow!! Sad to say, but the be continued on next post ya :P
