Annyeonghaseyo Korea : Day 2 - Jeju Island (Jeju Oriental Hotel)

vii) Dinner 1 - Seafood Restaurant

Next as it's already dark, Vincent brought us for dinner. We had an experience to dine Korean food as it was quite difficult to find foreign cuisine here. Since we were in the island, of course seafood is quite common, so that was our menu for that night, together with kimchi and rice.

We had those seafoods in steamboat style! The seafoods were prawns, crabs, mussels and cockles, then there were kimchi, cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts and noodles.

To prepare the steamboat Korean style was quite unique. All the seafoods, kimchi and vegetables were mix together with boiled water into the pot and steam it all using the mini gas stove.

Tara... Ready to eat. We had it with rice.

Finally after dinner, we went to check in to our hotel.

viii) Jeju Oriental Hotel

Here in Jeju, we stayed at Jeju Oriental Hotel, a five star hotel located at center of Jeju city.

Since we were still awake and not very tired, once we took shower and changed cloth, we decided to stroll along the street nearby the hotel area.

Seafood restaurants available along the street.

The squids.

Crabs

So far the environment here in Jeju was more relaxed, not so busy and happening like in Seoul. Some of the area was a bit dark so we didn't explore further to that area.

Interesting graffiti.

Jeju island made it into list of one of the world's New Wonder of Nature. Bravo..!!

As the weather became colder and the wind was very strong here, we went back to our hotel. But before that, we saw this convenience store, GS25 located next to our hotel and went in to take a look.

Huge array of cute packaging snacks and drinks. So korean!

Banana milk drink! One that you shouldn't miss when you are in Korea!

So it was the end of my Day 2 adventure. I stop my writing here.
Continue my Jeju tour in next post ok!
