First Night at Medan

There was one incident happened on the first night we were in Medan. Uda already booked for karaoke at 9.30pm and we were getting ready to go for dinner at 8pm when suddenly she told us that she felt itchy on her left eyes. First her eyes started to become red and slowly swollen. We suspected the headache pills that she took before becoz last time the same things happened every time she ate too much seafoods or took a Ponstan (pills). Maybe she allergic with some substances contained in the pills. We called the hotel's doctor however the doctor was not available so all of us just proceed with our plan first, which to dine at Wajir Seafood Restaurant. We went there by Bluebird taxi. Very convenient since you don't have to bargain the price. They're using meter rate and minimum charge is Rp20,000 only (Around RM7). Just call and they come instantly!


WAJIR Seafood Restaurant

We arrived at Wajir and the restaurant was full of people. Don't worry, according to my sister the service is damn fast regardless how varieties your order are... and not to forget, TASTY too!

After we made our order (Gurami 3 rasa, ikan bakar, mee vege, chicken butter, fried crispy prawn, etc...), Uda n I went to nearest clinic by becak. 

Uda took some medicine... (warning : jgn tenung mata dia lama2, takut ter"kenan"). Seriously takutkan tgk muka Uda time nie...




Went back to the restaurant only to find that most of the dishes almost finish.. As expected pun. Ape2 pun Uda was right! The food was delicious... Especially the drink, laici yogurt! Superb!!!



All the staff (wore a green T-shirt) were so efficient. Pekerja ramai patutla servis pantas. Thumbs up!

Juices mmg sgt mewah disini. Antara yg trdapat dlm gambar ialah jus markisa (Passion Fruit) dan Terung Belanda (maroon colour).

Ayork, Liya already slept. How to karaoke?



After dinner, we took Bluebird taxi again from Wajir to karaoke centre at Watatuli. It's just so easy, called and not more than 5 mins the taxi arrived. The Bluebird's taxi chain is already famous on the other part of Indonesia like Jakarta and Bandung, however in Medan it's just operated 7 months ago. (OK promote Bluebird lagi..)


KARAOKE FAMILY



When first time we entered the karaoke, I was like wow..!!! Unlike Malaysia where karaoke is normally a place for teenagers to hangout...... or maybe some Chinese businessmen releasing their tension before approving some tender :), in Medan it was like their normal leisure XTVT. Lots of family gathered here so my mom felt a bit comfortable to join us. Nama pun dah Family Karaoke kan.... The interior design was so cool. Our room same like our hotel located at 3rd floor. 1 floor pun dah berderet bilik, imagine how many rooms available here.. A lots kan.

Each room has an individual theme and our room theme that night was green.

1) Tgk katalog (abaikan mata adik saya UDA ok, dia ttp gigih membawa kami berkaraoke even mengalami allergik yg kronik)

Drugs, hostess & liquor... 3 things that people normally consider before entering a karaoke centre. But like I said, this place was clean from anasir2 yg tidak elok. NO...NO!!



We had an one hour karaoke session until 11pm. Gile sosial...



Before went back, I took photos around the karaoke's lobby.

Front desk... Very friendly staff here.



Yuk.. joget sampai pagi!



Oh ya, libur.. libur juga ya. Solatnya usah dilupain.. Bg kredit lagi coz ade surau disediakan di sini.



Berminat? Nalipon mudah aja utk booking. Nomornya ada disini......

Arrived at hotel, still not enough in taking pictures. Curik2 masuk my sis's suite. Bapa mithali sdg salinkan baju Hayqal.. :P



For security purpose, you are only allowed to go to your room's level by scanning your card everytime you entered to the lift. That means you cannot wandering on other's level and you cannot use the lift if you don't have the room card. This is to ensure no stranger going in and out the hotel area.

As for conclusion, I was fully satisfied since everything that we planned had succeed! Even there was flaw here and there, we managed to settle it. End of day one and to be continued on next post.
