ix) Hong Kong Central / Ferry Terminal
Continue from previous post where we took shuttle bus from The Peak to Central Exchange Bus Terminus. Once we reached at Central, we walked to the ferry terminal. It was very happening that night as we saw many Hong Kongers went out to the city wearing a costume while we on the other hand already flatted and exhausted can't wait to be back to our hotel. Then I realized that it was Halloween night! No wonder lots of people came out at night to celebrate it.
Did you remember in my previous post, I had told you that the Blake Pier was originally situated at the end of Pedder Street (hence the original name Pedder Wharf). Look at the streets and area around Pedder Street right now, it is hard to imagine that this place was once a ferry pier and hence surrounded by water.
We took ferry from Central back to TST Terminal. Just want to experience ferry ride at night while enjoying the night sea breeze.
Once reached the TST ferry Pier, we walked back to the Hotel. We supposed to watch the Light Symphony Show at TST Waterfront, however we missed it. The Light Symphony Show is the nightly multimedia show involving more than 40 buildings on both sides of the harbour. Named the 'World's Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show' by Guinness World Records, coloured lights, laser beams and searchlights perform in an unforgettable all-round spectacle synchronised to music and narration that celebrates the energy, spirit and diversity of Hong Kong. The show is free for public enjoyment and no admission ticket is required. You can listen to the show's music and narration live nightly at the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront or at the promenade outside the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai. The time of the show is at 8pm daily; and the show lasts for about 13 minutes.
Along the way back to the Hotel, we passed by one of the attraction at Tsim Sha Tsui, 1881 Heritage. Located just next to the Ferry Terminal, it was once the Former Marine Police Headquarters which has been revitalized and transformed into a cultural and shopping landmark in Hong Kong. I will tell you more about this place in later post where we visited it again during day time on our last day in Hong Kong.
As for now, kita layan photo jer dulu... Ala2 teaser la kononnya.
We just spent little time there to take photo, then continued our walk back to Hotel. Dah lunyai habis dah time nie. Can't wait to take a bath and relax.
