Trip Young & Dangerous (HK, Macau & Shenzhen) : Day 3 - Shenzhen (Window of The World)

iii)Shenzhen - Window of The World (WOTW).

The Window of The World is a theme park located in the western part of the city of Shenzhen in the People's Republic of China. It has about 130 reproductions of some of the most famous tourist attractions in the world squeezed into 48 hectares (118 acres). The 108 metre tall Eiffel Tower dominates the skyline and the sight of the Pyramids and the Taj Mahal all in proximity to each other are all part of the appeal of this theme park.

Going down to Platform A to take Metro Subway

Inside Metro Shenzhen. I think the view inside the subway train will always the same no matter which country you are.

After few stops, finally we reached to our destination around 12pm. Exited through the Metro station and you will realised that the entrance is shaped after the Louvre Pyramid of France!

The pyramid structure resembles Louvre Museum in Paris is the access point to the MTR station.

Upon exiting the metro station, you will be right outside the entrance of "Window of the world" and you can easily spot the 108 meters tall Eiffel which is right smack in the middle of the park! Can't wait to go in and explore the place!

Outside the park.

It was happening outside and what we like most was the fact that the weather was good and not so much visitors that day! We could take photo without being "photo-bombed" by others.

First before enter, we bought our tickets at the ticket building located at the centre of the outside park. Easy to locate and the queue also was not so long. One thing that needed to be improved is the toilet. We went to the loo before entering the park, better make ourselves comfort first before enjoy, but the condition of the toilet was so gross  that made us disappointed a bit. If it's not because I couldn't hold to pee, I won't go inside. However as it was an emergency, I just went into the toilet and ignored whatever I saw and smell in the there :P

Ticket price is displayed at the counter booth.

Welcome to our world. Who don't want to miss a chance to explore the world in one day right??

This photo shows the entrance of Window of the World within the arch on the left, while the arch on the right is the exit.

From the main entrance, looking out, you can see the fountain and mall across the street.

There're lots of arch here at the entrance to the park.

The theme park is divided into several sections based on continent, namely The World Square, The Area of Asia, The Area of Oceanic, The Area of Europe, The Area of Africa, The Area of America, The Sculpture Park, and The International Street.

The entrance lead to a big open air theatre. The theatre is surrounded by structures and relief walls that represent The Civilization of The World.

The Egyptian.

Buddha Sculpture.

Another Buddha Sculpture.

It was one year after this visit, I successfully step my foot to the real place of this gate. You can see this entrance at Summer Palace, Beijing. Everything started from dream, and yes dream does comes true!!

From the theatre, we turned left and entered The Area of Asia, where some replicas of the old beautiful historical sites such as Borobudur and Angkor Wat are displayed. As Asian is known for it's beautiful tradition and unique civilization, lots of interesting buildings/monuments are in here and among the area in WOTW that I like most.

Clockwise from top left: The One Pillar Pagoda Vietnam, Kek Lok Si Temple Malaysia, Minaret of Samarra Iraq and Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) Nepal.

Clockwise from top left: Shwedagon (Golden Pagoda) Myanmar, One Pillar Pagoda Vietnam, Hakim Mosque Isfahan Iran and Ruwanwelisaya Stupa Sri Lanka.

You can even spotted a Merlion of Singapore.

And as far as Kuwait Tower.

Let's join me to explore more in Asia Section.

The Candi Borobodur, Indonesia replica just put me in awe of admiration.

Ya, been in this place a year before this trip (2013). The Gyeongbokgung Palace, South Korea.

This place also already crossed from my wishlist. Angkor Wat,Cambodia. Been here last year 2016, and still not yet blogging about it. Heheehehe...

One of the majestic and wonderfull place I've been I must say. But the view here was spoilt a bit with the apartment building at the back. Opssss...

The Grand Palace, Thailand.

From here, there is an entrance to what looks like a Japanese Village. So we went down there.

Itsukushima Shrine, Japan.

Japanese traditional building.

A Japanese style garden near Itsukushima Shrine

Window of The World is undoubtedly good in replicated all the monuments, but the nature definitely harder to duplicate. Look at the Mount Fuji here... It looks like been made by an amateur. Pity!

The famous Torii at Itsukushima Shrine.

Next, we went out from the Japanese Village and yes... finally one of the place that I admire a lot and being one of the Wonders of the World, definitely listed in my wishlist. I presented to you... TAJ MAHAL of India!

World's No 1 Monument The TAJ MAHAL.

Ya, one day I will step my foot here. Afterall all other places I managed to go also started from a dream right?

Taj Mahal Mosque.

It's nearly 2pm and no wonder we started to starve. There were lots of cafe available inside the WOTW, however not Halal for Muslims. Not a problem to us as we already prepared with our lunch pack. We just have to find a place to eat, which was a cafe nearby the Asian Area. We ordered coconut drinks, just to cover that we brought outside food and open our lunch. It was one of sweetest moment I had. And know what, due to lots of walk which was like a daily exercise, and little meal we had during our trip here.. I loose weight and got slimmer when I came back to Malaysia. That was the comment I received from almost my frens and family, which means I need to travel more if I want to loose weight. Huhuhuuh....

Fried Rice and Chicken Rendang in China.

Rest a bit while watching people walking by.

We didn't want to waste our time so long, so once finished our meal we back on the move. The next area we entered was The Area of Oceanic.

Electric motor bike for RMB120/hour, fit for 2 people, with deposit RMB300.

Our appearance always made us famous / unique among the locals at foreign country. Last time in Korea, we'd been approached by a group of 'Ahjuma / Aunties" who wanted to take photo with us. This time, a group of girl's student asked to have a picture together. So pleased.... Did U noticed the lady with pink t-shirt? At 1st we thought it was their teacher, but actually NO! She was just one of the curious local who also wanted to take photo with us. How did we know? As after the students left, she came back and asked for her solo photo taken with us by her husband :P

Can you see how excited she was? Running to the group of student so that she could squeeze her way in to the photo with us.

Our celebrity treat didn't end yet. As we continued our walk further, this time we met a group of boy's student. They looked at us and started to push among them to approach us but maybe they couldn't speak English so they were quite hesitated. Luckily we understand their intention (nasib betul, klau silap perasan je org cakap), and at last we asked them instead. "Do you want to take photo with us?" (With a gesture of taking photo). Then boom, all of them calling to other friends and tara... together we took this photo. It always give me a smile everytime I remember this moment. Absolutely one of the best moment I had here!

Feeling celebrity. Ke diaorg ingat weolss ni Shiela Hamzah as she's quite famous there.

Replica of Sydney Bridge which I had witnessed the original one early that year (2014).

Sydney Opera House floating there in a greeny colour lake.

Uluru (Ayers Rock) is considered once of the great wonders of the world. It is one of Australia's most recognizable natural icons. But remember I told you on it's a bit difficult to imitate when it's come on the natural thing. So the same with this Uluru. It looks like a normal rocks to me.

A mixture of Fiji, Hawaii and Maouri Villages

Next we headed to Europe Section which divided into few countries. Well, you know that Europe is big right??

First we went to Italy. How lucky we were, to have been in Venice Italy twice in this trip. One during our visit to The Venetian, Macau and now here in WOTW.

Piazza San Marco often known in English as St Mark's Square, is the principal public square of Venice, Italy.

Doge's Palace, Venice Italy.

Then went down southwest the Europe map to Spain.

Alcazar Castle spotted.

The country where we went next to the north of Europe map is The Netherland. In here, besides the windmills that obviously related to the Holland, there's also a village and mini train station (well it's more like a cart) for us to ride and enjoy where it tour the whole Holland's village.

What a nice garden with tulips and many more flowers.

Windmills.

The cafe an also entrance to the Train Station.

One of the beautiful building here.

The train station for a train ride. Since it's free... why don't we have a ride!

I've told ya, it's more like a cart, but it's a fun ride I must say.

We even entered the kaleidoscope tunnel.

Finally afterthat, we went to the most popular area in this park and the one that I'd looked for since the first step I made here.... PARIS!!

The Fontaine de l'Observatoire is a monumental fountain located in the Jardin Marco Polo.

The Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile is one of the most famous monuments in Paris.

With a little bit of correct angle, I think one might believe that I was really in Paris :P.

This one needs no introduction.

Hooyay.... it's a dream came true moment that I managed to take photo infront of Eiffel Tower. Even it's only replica.

Ok, from Paris we walk a bit to it's neighbour, London.

Palace of Westminster also known as Parliament House, London.

London Bridge is falling down... falling down....

Can't get enough with the Eiffel Tower, we went back to Paris. You can get up the elevator on Eiffel Tower for a view at the top. The fee is RMB 40 for adults and half price for children and older citizens.

Eiffel Tower one of the 7 new wonders of the world.

Bottom of the tower.

Ticket office to get into elevator of Eiffel Tower located next to the tower itself.

Last photo.

Many lakes in North China freeze over in winter, giving locals the chance to skate on them for free. Shenzhen doesn’t offer that privilege. But fortunately, the city makes up for it with a number of ice rinks. Alpine Ice and Snow World Ski at Window of The World is the country's largest indoor skating rink! The field imitates the natural snow environment with indoor temperature of about minus 5°. Besides allowing you to experience Alpine culture and entertainment right here in Shenzhen, the rink also host large scale skating competitions and regular ice shows.

Opening hours : 10am to 9.30pm
Admission Fee : RMB60/person

We didn't try the skating though, just went in to feel the Alpine feeling, then went out after about 10 minutes there.

The final continent we went was The America.

Mount Rushmore is one of our most iconic national monuments, depicting the faces of past U.S. presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt carved into the South Dakota mountainside.

We first visited the Capitol of USA, Washington DC where you may find the neoclassical monuments and buildings – including the iconic ones that house the federal government’s 3 branches: The Capitol, White House and Supreme Court.

The United States Capitol, is the home of the United States Congress, and the seat of the legislative branch of the U.S. federal government.

The most famous of President's residence in the world, The White House! It's been in the movie numerous time.

National Gallery of Art, Washington DC.

The skyline of Manhattan, New York City. You can also spotted Christ the Redeemer, the Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the back.

The Washington Monument is an obelisk on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., built to commemorate George Washington, once commander-in-chief of the Continental Army and the first President of the United States

Is this place looks like Grand Canyon of Colorado? Well, this is the "extreme-scaled-down" version.

Next we moved to the Southern part of America... the Latinos country.

Mayan Pyramid, Mexico.

El Castillo is a Mesoamerican step-pyramid that dominates the center of the Chichen Itza archaeological site in the Mexican state of Yucatán.

Finally, almost completed our tour around the park and we reached the station for Monorail. We went on to the train for an experience where it took us tour the whole park including the outside area of the park.

We took more than 3 hours to walk around the theme park. Many of the replicas looked good and real, while some of them were not. These replicas bring the world’s wonders together in one place for the delight and convenience of visitors and each of them leave a deep and lasting impression. Sign of lack of maintenance was obvious in some of the area of the park as well. Overall, the theme park made us felt like we were in a small world, with all the building, structures and sceneries around us. It is a place that worth a visit. Afterall, who didn't want to miss a chance to be around the world in 1 day right!!

Went out the park and to the entrance of Metro Shenzen to get the train back to Luohu Station.

Whoooo... this is definitely a very long post with photos. Finally made it.
