Endau-Rompin : A Dream to Tioman (Part 3)

23rd July 2010, Day 2

We woke up early and had a breakfast at 9pm. Of course the breakfast voucher actually valid for 2 persons only, pandai2 la nak hidup menyelit lagi sorang. There were fried mee/rice, nasi lemak, nuggets & hotdogs, breads and cereals.

After breakfast we went to the back of our resort for a beach view. We also took a few photos :

After "puas" bergambar suma, kami bersiap to proceed with our first plan, Pulau Tioman... PULAU TIOMAN?? Yes U read it right. We just came out of this idea last night since all the plans of what to do or where to go here were adhoc. We just wanted to have a light and easy holiday, so we didn't arrange our itinerary at all. It all depends on mood, time and will. Nick was not in favor for an adventure trip, so National Park would not be in the list. We really stupid to think that we could go to Tioman for just a day, took photos then go back in the evening. Never that we knew the ferry to Tioman departed timely and took about approx 2hrs of journey. We went to buy the tickets at Pelabuhan Tg Gemuk around 10.30am only to see that a long queue already formed at the ticket counter. There are few companies operate the ferry to Tioman. The price is standard, RM35/way only the times are different.

Lucky we met the group of friendly uncles (guards, taxi drivers and pekerja2 yg lepak kat situ) coz maybe it was obvious that we look un-prepared and un-decided, one of the uncle asked us on our plan. He was the one who told us that it is not enough to spend just 1 day at Tioman because the next ferry would be at 11am. Let say we took that ferry, we will reach Tioman at 1pm. Then 3pm we needed to catch up back to the ferry because it is the last ferry departed back from Tioman to Tg Gemuk. Just 2 hours are totally not worth it compared to RM70 spent.

Alternatively, that uncle suggested that we go to Pantai Penyabung, not far from the Tg. Botak.
Strange but syukur, we met lots of friendly person on this journeykan...

In debt on his information and effort to promote all the interesting places here, we agreed to follow his recommendation. Before that, we took few photos at this jetty first. Well at least x dapat gi Tioman, dapat amik gambar kat Jetty pun jadilah. Ade bukti yg kami hampir2 sampai Tioman.
