(v) Madame Tussauds
From
Wild Life Zoo, we entered to the
Madame Tussauds - a museum of wax.
(Opening hours: 9am to 8pm daily)
Excited huh!
We took picture with Australian Swimming Champion, Ian Thorpe before entering the museum.
Not much things I can write about this place as it's more likely experienced to get the closest to cool celebrities and photographed with them.
So, lets us enjoy the photos ok...
This place is basically categorized base on few theme sections and the first zone we met was a

From history-changing Australians to US Presidents, these icons shaped the world we live in today.

Assisting Captain Cook in searching for new unexplored lands!
Australia's most famous aviator, Charles Kingsford-Smith
Getting close with famous political figures.
Clockwise from top left, Tibet's political/spiritual leader, Dalai Lama.
This figure needs no introduction, Mahatma Gandhi (2 Oct.1869 – 30 Jan. 1948) was the preeminent leader of the Indian independence movement in British-ruled India who led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world.
Another historic hero, Nelson Mandela (18 Jul. 1918 – 5 Dec. 2013) was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary politician and philanthropist, who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.
One of the influential man in the world, Hu Jintao a Chinese politician who was the paramount leader of China between 2002 and 2012.
Description on every wax statue
Pretending to be royalty
Being best buddy with the Australian 23rd and 25th Prime Ministers, Bob Hawke and John Winston Howard.
Girl power!! Seems like Jullia Gillard was very satisfied with my speech!
Yeah, we're this close and this wasn't a dream ok.
Chillin' at the President Barack Obama office. To shoot this photo, I had to do it very quickly before the staff there saw me :=) Mischief managed!!
On your marks, get set, go! Next we went to the
Sports zone. This is the chance to see the world's biggest sports stars up close. Feel the adrenaline rush of meeting Olympic legends, Aussie cricket legends and international sporting stars. Here's just a few of the famous faces we met in the Sport area...
Top above : Celebrating victory with Cathy Freemen, Olympian sprinter, who specialized in the 400 metres event.
Bottom : Supporting Australian professional racer for Prosche, Mark Allan Webber.
He even allowed me to ride his racing car to appreciate my support. Coolest prop at Madame Tussauds.
Getting a professional basketball training with Yao Ming (retired Professional NBA player who played for Houston Rockers). Hey do you know that I'm considered among the tallest girl and now I look like a midget here. 1.7m against 2.3m, huh!!!
Rod Laver is an Australian former tennis player widely regarded as one of the greatest in tennis history.
Discussing potential project while playing golf with Greg Norman; an Australian professional golfer and entrepreneur who spent 331 weeks as the world's Number 1 Official World Golf Rankings ranked golfer in the 1980s and 1990s.
Next, we proceeded to next zone, the most awaited one; Music area! Get your VIP backstage pass to the music event of the year and meet the biggest pop icons and musical geniuses.
Before "The High School Musical" became hits on Disney, people on the 70s were crazy about "Grease". Starring Olivia Newton John and "King of Dance Floor" John Travolta, it was the most successful movie musical of all time. As an Australian, no wonder Olivia Newton John made in the list among celebrities displayed in this zone.
Teenage heartthrob, Justin Bieber
And now, I'm officially "Belieber!!"
There were few props provided to feel more into character with the celebrities. Kayrie posed with Rihanna without the "umbrella"..
Lady Gaga standing there without her bizzare outfit. Looking quite normal, maybe the madame tussauds management didn't want to don her with an outfit that might scare the children. Hmmm make sense.
Among Australian musicians. Clockwise from top left : Rocker singer Jimmy Barnes; country music singer or we all know more as Nicole Kidman's husband, Keith Urban; the late Michael Hutchence who was a founding member and lead singer rock band INXS from 1977 until his death in 1997 and last but not least Slim Dusty who was a country singer, Australian cultural icon and one of the country's most awarded stars.
Meet John Farnham, one of the most successful Aussie solo artists on stage and on record.
King of pop, Michael Jackson. One of the most influential singer in the world. Top : Trying to "beat it" with MJ. Bottom : Can't you see I was "moon walking" there.. :=)
The transformation, from "The Jacksons" era until he went solo. When you think of Michael Jackson three things immediately come to mind: his incredible voice, his mind-blowing dance moves, and his innovative style. When it came to fashion, Michael was fearless—pushing boundaries and daring to wear what no one else would. Who could forget his red leather jacket in beat it video, edgy motor black jacket in bad, his hat, sequinned glove and white socks with black shoes. Although he had a life with great controversy on it, he will always regarded as greatest artist of all time.
Floating on a seashell, an Australian singer Kylie Minogue.
Next we went to Behind the Scene section where we got to know on the processes to make the wax.
No, Will Smith and Beyonce are not an alien, this is how the wax figures were made. It's a very interesting and long processes. Every inches of the body especially the face have to be very details and accurate!!
History of the Madame Tussauds in form of mural.
We were approaching to the Discovery and Invention section. Meet the icons who contributed and made a great discoveries for the society and made a great highlight on history in every arena.

"Oh my god.. kantoi. How she knew that I'm married..??" Expressed Lina.
What a tiring day to fullfill invitation as special guess in many Australian TV programmes here and there. Clockwise from top left : Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton; performing on stage with Australian entertainer and painter Rolf Harris; The Living Room programme with Amanda Keller and special appearance in soap opera "Neighbour" with actor Ian Smith.
After been in talkshow, we moved to On The Set zone where we joined the set of famous movies.

Australian Actor, Guy Pearce as drag queen in Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
Elvis : And now I pronounce you as husband and wife.
Director : Cut2x.. Can't you find a male actor? I don't want to make a lesbian movie ok..
And that what happened. I was not made it into the movie. :=(
As the undisputed "King of Rock and Roll", Elvis Presley took pride of place at the attraction in a special Las Vegas style chapel. Resplendent with an altar, any couple who stood there would feel like been ‘serenaded’ by Elvis himself. I read a news that there was one man made a surprise and proposed her girlfriend here. So romantic.
Not made it in the movie with Elvis Presley, I tried my luck in Mad Max 2 - The Road Warrior, replacing the now veteren, Mel Gibson.
Casting for the role female version of Wolverine; Wolverina pairing with Aussie hunk, Hugh Jackman.
Remake of ET - The Extra Terrestrial. Lets go to the moon!!
Based on the expression, only Lina was selected and got this role.

I introduce to you my scandals...
All I need was a pretty dress and 2" high heels than we could become a perfect couple on earth. RIP Heath Ledger.
The original cast for Titanic before my role been replaced by Kate Winslet (org nk SPM time tu ok). Me and the talented Leornado Dicaprio.
Will you "Die Hard" for me, Bruce Willis?
King of Martial Art and international superstar, Jackie Chan. Lina looks reluctant to share Jackie with Kayrie. :=D
The hulk, Eric Bana. Such a tall guy, isn't he?
Husband-snatcher! Kayrie tried to flirt with Brad Pitt behind Angelina Jolie's back.
Australian beauties. Clockwise top left : The Cute Dannii Minogue; supermodel Elle Macpherson and Miranda Kerr; singer & actress Delta Goodrem; beautiful and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman; and ageless beauty the classy Kate Blanchett.
After all the actions, don't you think I deserve an award winning??
Thank you Australia and god bless..
That marked the end of our tour, we took almost 2 hours in there. What an experience!! It's nearly 4pm and we didn't have our lunch yet. The next destination would be to find place for lunch since we already packed the food and kept in our car. So where was our destination for lunch... in a park perhaps?? Read on the next post ok.
