Sydney, The Land of Oz - Night at Windang Beach Tourist Park (Day 1)

We spent time at the Kiama Blowhole until sunset then around 7pm drove back north to Wollongong for check in to our accommodation at Windang Beach Tourist Park.
An English style of building, Kiama Post Office.

On the way, we saw Woolworths Supermarket at Centro Kiama and went in to buy grocery for dinner. Just for information, Woolworths & Coles are 2 major supermarket in Australia.

If you are the follower of cooking shows, you should know this Brit celebrity chef - Jamie Oliver. Lots of his product available here. Wow, look at that, the price for coconut = RM7++. Nanges...

A very fresh vegetables than can definitely make my mom go gaga.

(v) Windang Beach Tourist park, Wollongong

It took another half an hour from Kiama to the Windang Beach Tourist Park so we reached there around 8.30pm only to found that the administration office already closed. I referred the booking confirmation that I printed earlier for a phone number to call, then I noticed it was indicated in the paper that the check-in time was around 2.00pm-7.30pm on the date of arrival and we thought it was 24hrs like other normal accommodation in Malaysia!! Ya, that was our mistake however I really appreciated and touched by their effort to give their best service to us. You know why?? Ok back to when we found out that the office already closed, so we panicked. Kena tido luar ke malam nie? But we already paid. I tried to call number on the paper however it was useless as it was actually the office's phone number. Nobody picked up the phone as no one left in the office. We were outside the office and it was dark also. Then Kayrie noticed there was a sticker note on the glass window and guess what... It was been attention to me!!!! The message was from Donna, the park's staff and she asked me to call her mobile no. Relief I called her and she explained that she tried to call me but unreachable. Nevertheless, she already left our cabin's key and information of our cabin (direction from the office to cabin, cabin no, T&C, official receipt, and etc) in the envelope and she placed the envelope on top of the locker located just next to where we were standing!! They tried to hide it by putting a brick on top of the envelope (or maybe to put a weight so the envelope won't blown away by the heavy wind). Apa2pun, all these efforts really impressed me so much!! Sangat terharu ok.

Hooray, since we already received our key, so lets check our cabin!! As the park was big, we needed a map to find it. There were cabins, motorhomes, caravan and camping sites in this park. So imagine how big was this place. Located next to Lake Illawarra, it offered a very refreshing environment and visitors could enjoy the view of golden sunrises at day time or moonlight caressed waters at night.

We entered the cabin and our first impression was WOW...!!!! The cabin looks convenience, with ample space. 2 rooms, 1 shower at master bedroom and another one outside the room. Each rooms were quite big so overall we really satisfied with our choice!

Living room was OK. Baby Musa could freely roaming around the hall.

Dining table located in the middle of TV area and kitchen. You can see the verandah from here

Fully equipped kitchen

Next after satisfied surveying our cabin, we started to prepare for dinner.

All the kitchen's paraphernalia were provided, and also we found a washing machine in the cabinet. Perfect for laundry!!

We divided our task equally. While the parents (Lina & Bamalex) prepared the dinner, I help to feed baby Musa. Kayrie was assigned for washing and cleaning the cooking equipments.

It was a Fair deal right?? (Actually bukan kami yg single ladies nie x bole masak, cuma takut taste x kena ngan tekak Bamalex). Bamalex is a healthy conscious, so he really look into of what he ate. Kami pun terikut makan healthy meals along this trip 😜😜. Tambahan lg family Bamalex nie mmg chef2 hebat belaka. Mak sujud ratu ok...

Kayrie washed the dishes in the wet kitchen at the verandah. The BBQ set also provided here, next to this sink.

Star of the night.

Oh ya talking about chicken, for Muslim you may get a Halal chicken or poultry in Australia. But don't expect to see Halal certificate on the packaging. Based on information we received from our friends here, we bought halal chicken, brand Steggles. Quite easy to find as it is available at any major Supermarket. For more halal groceries info, you may refer at this WEBSITE

** Our local muslim frens here bgtau org non-muslim risau kalau ade tanda halal takut kita nak islamkan mereka klau makan ayam tu sbb katanya ayam yg disembelih ikut cara islam tasted better jd diaorg suka. Tp kalu ade tanda halal mesti diaorg takut nak makan. Betul atau tidak, wallahuaklam. Talking about Islamicphobia here....

Feeding baby Musa completed, menyibuk BBQ chicken. Actually this task was assigned to Bamalex. Pura2 nk amik gamba sahaja 😜😜

The result

Our menu of that night; Chicken BBQ, Omelette, Spaghetti and Mix Vege ala Paprik (menu reka sendiri janji healthy & tasty)

Alhamdulillah... Recited "doa makan" then makan smpai mak mertua lalu pun x perasan. 😄😄

What a tiring day we had. Recharged for the next day plan.
