Sydney, The Land of Oz - Trip to Blue Mountain (Day 2)

Early this morning, we woke up and prepared breakfast plus packed for lunch as we expected it must be hard to find lunch at the Blue Mountain area.

Maggie mee and baked potatoes (ala burned sket) for breakfast

It was my duty that day to prepare tapau for lunch so I made Fried Rice. Resepi main campak2 jer.. That's why I called it Throwback Fried Rice.

Looked tasty and tasted yummy!!

Having breakfast at verandah with a take your breath away view was an awesome experience!!

How I wish I could stay here a bit longer, however we got more places to go and time was our main enemy...

So we packed all our stuffs and ready for check up.

Next to our cabin was a beautifull Lake of Illawarra. In the morning we could see people walk with their dog or jog around this lake.

A greeny lawn. Ample space to park our car.

Neighbourhood...

Will miss this place.

Ready for the next destination.

Go straight to the main office to drop the key for check out. Then exited to highway for another roadtrip.

Wolonggong to Blue Mountain, Katoomba

The Blue Mountain is an iconic landmark that Sydney (and by extension Australia) is famous for. This is definitely one place that shouldn't be missed by anyone who travel to Sydney.

How to get there
i) By car - Drive from Sydney direct via the M4 motorway, or take the scenic route through the Hawkesbury along Bells Line of Road - (Approx : 2 - 2.5hours drive)
ii) By train - Catch the train from Sydney's Central Station to Katoomba on the Blue Mountains Line. - (Approx : 2 hours)

We started our journey a bit late around 10am. The weather that day worried us as we experienced shower along the way of our journey. I have to say that the countryside view was very interesting, amazing, mesmerizing.. all the "ing"2 la... 😄 Still enjoyed the roadtrip even the rain had limited our view a bit.

Exit to Hume Motorway to Katoomba

Train crossed all over the town. For those from Sydney city, you can take Cityrail train (Blue Mountain Line) from there to Katoomba Train Station.

Moo..moo.. Feels like New Zealand anyone??

Liverpool, Newcastle.. Am I in England or what??

Took this photo just because of my name on it "Hazel"

The local houses

Nearly arrived at Katoomba town

Being such an easy drive along the highway and we didn't stop in any of the towns we passed by as we wanted to spent as much time as we could at the Blue Mountain.
Finally after 2 1/2hours, we arrived there!
