Deepa-Raya @ KNM

Our office had organized a dwi-celebration party (Deepa-Raya) on the 28th Oct 2009 at the lobby. The programme started at 12.30pm (lunch hour) up to 2pm. We went down to the place of event as early as we could but the long queue had already formed when we reached there. As ussual there were lots of food available and variety too. I had became so "tamak" as I had took lots of "satay" which in the end just been thrown up in the dustbin. Since the office's lobby is small, not all staffs could eat there, we were normally picked up our food and choose the port of eating, at Kak Maz's dept, SALES.

Office, Badminton & LCCT

I didn't know why I felt so lazy to work this week. Maybe because of my mental already got exhausted and needed to re-charged back (I need vacation lorrr....). Today all the seniors were not in the office. They went for meeting at Jakarta so we all were very free today. That's a good news for me as I could go out early to play badminton (today is the last day for training since next week the real selection will be held out). I managed to submit 3 tenders (felt so proud with myself) which made my head became lighter a bit thereafter, then very slow to start a new job even though there were still more tenders to do. Sharp at 5pm I had it enough and called it quit. I wandered around and chatted with my mates to kill time and at 6pm quickly changed my cloth to the sport attire. I went to the sport centre with Kak Maz. Zetty & Fizah were not joining us today because they got lots of work to do while Nor was on MC.

Since today was the last day of training (dpt main free la...), there were lots of staff came to play badminton. KNM booked 3 courts and normally we could play comfortably, however today all the courts were full and there were lots of staff waited their turn to play. Luckily we were quite early so we didn't have to wait so long until one of the court is free. As ussual main mesti banyak gelak punya. Alang2 last day main free, we really went all out until all the muscles got all sakit2. We played more than 4 rounds (the longest).

At 9pm, we all packed to home. I reached my house at 9.30pm, took a bath, then with my mom we went to LCCT to pick up UDA. She needs to back here to settle on her Visa matter. Her flight supposed to arrive at 11.50pm, but when we reached there around 11.30pm, she already waited for us. The flight had been scheduled to depart early from Medan. Along the way home, we dropped by at the Kajang Point for supper. Since we all were already "kebulur", we had satay n Nasi Goreng USA sampai LICIN!! Sampai jer rumah then terus tido. So thats all for today, see you guys in the next post! Nite...

One night stand at Putrajaya

Hahahah tajuk sudah bikin gempak kan. Its just a headline... actually this story is just involved me and my best friend Naza. Yesterday, Naza invited me to join her to play futsal with her office mates (she is under MAMPU, JPM) at Presint 9, Putrajaya. The game started around 10pm, so I planned to go to her house first at Percint 10 after work and "siap2" to Futsal. Naza asked me to sleep at her house that night because her husband was on night shift. It's quite easy also for me to go to work on the next day because the distance from Putrajaya to Serdang is not very far.

I found no difficulty to find her house, only it just one funny thing happened to me on the way while I was very concentrated on the signboard. I was accidentally entered to the motorist lane. Initially I didn't noticed anything, but after few seconds I started to think why my lane was so narrow (though my car can still moving smoothly). Finally after I saw the sign, then I realized that I was in the wrong lane. SO EMBARRASSED!!! Luckily I saw an exit to the main road, so I quickly turned and I can't stop thinking what people who saw me would say. Mesti bantai gelak punya. Huhuhu.

According to Naza, I'm not the first one who did that, few drivers had also encountered the similar scenario like me. But one thing she couldn't deny, of course la suma driver tu kena gelak punya. Luckily its was dusk so not very much witnesses who saw that embarrass moment of mine. I reached Naza's house at 8pm, took a bath and went for dinner nearby the Futsal area. We had nasi lemak ayam rempah (mentang2 la nak bersukan, trus bantai makan heavy la...) It was raining that night and after play we straight back home.

The next morning (today la..) I woke up early (heheheh 6.45am is early for me). Around 7.30am both of us already prepared to work. Ye la Naza masuk keje pkul 8am so I also had to go out early. You know what time I reached office?? 8am, itu pun I had done my best to drive as slow as possible. I had made a record (of course a good one after all this time my average time to come to work was at 9am). I parked right in-front of the office. But don't even think that I could also go back early (as I never wish pun), because today to add the point on my resume as a "pekerja cemerlang", I worked sharp 12hours. I missed my badminton training and went back at 8pm. Nak buat macammana, Im already used to it. Kerja bertimbun and loads more awaiting. To end up and conclude all this : IT ALL MEANS THAT THIS SATURDAY ALSO I HAVE TO WORK OVERTIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BELOW ARE FEW PHOTOS I TOOK AROUND THE AREA OF NAZASS HOUSE AT PUTRAJAYA (2 JER PUN)

That's all for now. I will try to find more interesting story to update in my next blog ok. Till then... BYE!!

HAPPY DEEPAVALI

Hallu Bloggers...

First of all I would like to wish all Hindu a Happy Deepavali and hope U have a great and fascinating day on this big celebration. My mom came to Kajang to visit her brother, Pak Uteh who will be going for operation on this 28th. Dpt "beraya" sekali. We planned to go there together with Ucu and hubby.

This morning, I had to go to office first since I had a very urgent tender to submit on Monday (as I already mentioned numerous time, submission and date line are very crucial things in my job scope.) Please.. don't think that I like to settle my job last minute and that's why I always a bit rush up. The real story was I just received the file on Thursday and my boss told me that it was urgent but he couldn't asked for extension on submission date so I have to make it finish by Monday. 4 design, 4 item.... like I don't have any other files to look into. But what to do, he's THE BOSS. Yesterday I managed to complete 2 items so that means 2 items left. I was so lucky that my group mate (oh I forget to tell U, we have 3 groups in my dept and each group consists of 3 persons with 1 senior), Amirul was willing to help me on the 3rd and 4th design. He is a fresh graduate and just started at KNM so of course a bit eager to learn. Relief, that was why I promised to come to work today so I could teach him a bit on the design and hand over the file to him. I went to the office without breakfast early at 9am and leaved at 10.15am. Ucu already there when I reached home so directly after breakfast, we went to Pak Uteh's house at Sentul.

We're using MRR2 to Ulu Klang but diverted halfway at Ampang to Kg Pandan, because the road was so congested from there headed to Ulu Klang up to Rawang. Well it's Deepavali, what do you expect. But I don't think that Hindu visited Batu cave during Deepavali, however I know that a lot of Indian communities staying at Batu Caves, Rawang and Selayang areas that might contributed to this traffic. So from Kg Pandan, we exited to Jalan Ampang, then to Jalan Tun Razak until Jalan Pahang. We successfully reached there in just 15mins time.

My uncle staying at Melur Condo on the 15th floor. I always like to have a view at his balcony because I could see a view of KL city but I still a bit shaky to take photo so I just enjoyed the scenery. We're not staying longer there because Pak Uteh got to work OT at 2pm. My mom took that opportunity to get the information on his operation and wish him good luck. We had few snacks (kuih-muih) then balik.

At night, we got an invitation from our Indian neighbour for the Deepavali open house. Along & family, Mama & me (Ucu & husband already went back in the evening) went to their house after Maghrib. It was really happening or I might say as "muhibbah" because they had invited all of the neighbours with all races. Indian, Malay & Chinese were all there to share the celebration of Deepavali regardless of all the different belief and religion among us. We're there to respect our neighbour and to build a bonding between us and to know each other. We're in one community, we live together and we might one day need help from each other as well.

The menu that night I can say was SUPERB!!! Indian food is may favourite and they were nasi briyani, mutton curry, chicken masak merah, bergedil, beef curry, dhal and lots more. I ate (not too much) but maybe because of the spices and mutton, I got my stomach upset after that. Hehehhee.... Same goes with my mom. By the time we went home (just next door), they launched a fire crackers so we just enjoyed it from our house. It was huge and beautifull. It's like more than 5 times the fire crackers had been fired up through the air. My day is really packed today but I'm happy and satisfied with all the programs that filled in.

Raya Party @ Procurement

Procurement had organized a raya party at their department on the 12th of Oct, Monday. There was a fee of Rm10,and everybody were advised to bring together a RM5 cost of present for the exchanged gift ceremony. I just bought a traveler kit (contained a tooth brush & paste) which I found quite usefull since I saw lots of staff usually brush their teeth after lunch at the office. It costed about RM4.60 and I packed it nicely with ribbons too!! On the 12th, I went to procurement dept (next building) with my others office mate on the lunch time, each brought our presents. It was my first time entering that dept, it was not very spacious and the room was almost packed when I reached there. We had to register first and randomly had to pick a number inside a box for us to keep so that we could redeem of gift later. We also submitted our present to be tagged with number and after that without wasting time headed to our main objective, for the food tour.

(My present - tag no 58)

There were varieties of food available. Nasi himpit, lemang and rendang were obviously mandatory, with other awesome meals such as satay, mee hun, nasi briani, laksa, cakes and kuih-muih. There was only one thing lack in this party which almost all of us had to stand to eat. Seats were not enough. Cant blame the organizer also as this was supposed to be only a small department with maybe the max of 15 staffs, then suddenly been ambushed with a troop of people so what do you expected. Besides that, everythings were fine to me. Before we all dismiss to work, (lunch was over) the most awaited moment had come. We had to wait for the coordinator to call the number that was tagged on the present earlier and anyone who kept the number had to come and collect the present,as simple as that. I got no 14 and guess what present had I received?? Heheheh it was quite unique and I think maybe the person who gave me this present had lost an idea on what to buy as a present. So in the end instead of shopping something that cost RM5, he/she finally packed the RM5 note in the ang pow. Senang cerita and no need to hassle to wrap the thing. While there is other who might envy on my luck to get "duit raya", I on the other hand prefer to have the "real thing" as a present. At least there is something to keep as a souvenir. If you get money, you might spend it on the "un-seen" things like foods, fuel, tolls and etc. But Im not complaining here, I'm pleased with what I got. Thanks to the Mr/Mdm X. So here are some photos on the scene. Enjoy!!

CaBut, SpOrT & STraTeGy

I just got back from badminton training @ protech, Balakong. The event was organized by my office to select the representative for our company in badminton tournament. This was my 2nd time of practising, and it just started last week every Tuesday. I actually got 3 tenders that need to be submitted by Thursday and that means I'm in a busy mode. Actually my senior didn't really approved me of going there since I will have to go back early from work around 6.30pm (mind you that it is consider early at my office) while my senior prefer me to concentrate on my work, focus and back late at night. I know in term of work, I have to put my full attention on it, but if we just 24hrs "mengadap" kerje also is not good right? There is limit for our brain to work and we need time to re-charge back our mind. Some prefer to sleep, had vacation, minum2 ptg, or go for sport. I prefer to exercise because the more my sweat fell, the more satisfied I felt. My body became lighter, and so as my head. It could divert momentarily my mind from work. Like I always said to my friend "time keje aku keje, time main, aku main betul". Tomorrow will continue on my work, and now I started to feel a bit afraid thinking my senior's action on my attitude to cabut tadi because of badminton. Mesti dia marah. Hopefully it just my guilty feeling because he actually aware on this matter as I already informed him. Apa2 pun that's tomorrow story. Just pray everything will be ok but for sure I have to come early tomorrow, be punctual. Kasi bodek skit, tunjuk rajin that are my strategy......

(Sebelum cabut sempat bergambar dulu)

Kliwon....???

Yesterday for the 1st time I set record for stayed back the longest in the office. Accompanied by my office mate, it was only Nor and me who stayed until almost midnight. TAKUT?? I've heard few stories from those who stay back at office until late at night that my office is a bit haunted but where's the place that isn't rite? Every place when it's empty, its time for other "occupants" to turn up so we should respect and give them some space. We're sharing the place and as long as I didn't see it or it doesn't disturb me so I don't bother.

I'm actually a pengecut type of person, but I was very busy yesterday. The job that I was working into needed to be submitted on the next day, so I got no choice and had to finish it by hook or by crook on THAT NIGHT ALSO!!! I turned on the radio loudly and because I was kelam kabut to finish my work, I didn't have time to think about others. I just remember that I was frequently stared at my watch and wish that time will stop. I completed my work at 11.30pm and went back with Nor, after make sure that all lights were switched OFF and doors were locked. I sent her back home and reached my house around 12am.

Its only this morning that Nor told me that she actually saw "something" passed through at the corner of our room when we stayed back in the office last night. It happened around half an hour before we started to go home but since she also get an urgent submission, she just ignored what she had seen. I had a goose bump when heard that story but gratefull that I didn't see anything because if it was me who saw that "thing" of course I would go back quickly and my work didn't finished that night. Even it was not my experience but I still felt "cuak" a bit (sorry I cannot find a word in English to express what I felt) because I was there. SERIK..??? No la, kerja is kerja and like I said before, we're not the one who live in this world. There are others Allah's creation who also sharing our place so we need to tolerance and respect each other. The one that we need to scare is only ALLAH TAALA and the one that we need to avoid is SYAITAN laknatullah.

A MISSING BOY

Last 2 days, I went to CIMB Bank at Kajang around 9pm. It was raining and the town was so packed and congested probably because people were out for Deepavali shopping. I was just finished my business on the ATM machine when I heard a Malay boy, about 7 years old crying out loud to a guy nearby who also seemed to do a transaction at the ATM. He screamed "papa...papa" and the guy replied "sekejap yer".. My first thought that it was just a normal argument between father n son but I managed to realize what really happened when an Indian lady asked that guy "Is that ur son" and he replied no. I got the idea that this boy was separated from his family for quite a long time based on his puffy and swollen eyes plus he kept calling for his papa. I cannot imagined how long he had been lost, where was the last place he noticed that his family was not there and either his family realized that their son had been missing. It was such a very touching scene to see a hopeless boy crying for his father. One thing that made me relieved was the fact that the boy was lucky to meet a responsible man. Last conversation I heard between that guy and the Indian lady that he was going to send the boy to a police station and for me it was a wise decision. After make sure everything was fine, I walked to my car but that situation was still hanging around my head and I could still heard his crying echoing at my ears. I kept on wandering what will happen to that boy if he met the wrong person or had an accident? In the end, all I can do was to pray that he will meet his family back.

So for all my dearie friends, I’m writing this note as a reminder to all of you, whether it is your daughter/son, sister/brother or niece/nephew… every time if you’re out with children, please remember to be extra carefull. Watch them properly as you might not want anything like adik Nurin Jazilin or Syalini happened again because if it is too late, there is no regret. Prevention is the best action.
