Last Day @ Penang

Finally, the day has come. Our last day at Penang, we took photo at our room before checked out.

Wore a beach dress I brought from Batu Feringgi Bazaar last night

We checked out from our homestay around 10am and straight to Georgetown.

NASI KANDAR LINE CLEAR LUNCH TREAT

Since it's already 12noon, we decided to go for lunch first. Perut masing2 dah berkeroncong, so our first spot of course the famous Nasi Kandar Line Clear. So far from my observation, Georgetown traffic was not as bad as Gurney Drive yesterday. Maybe because it was Sunday however compare to KL or some major city in Malaysia, the traffics are always live & never sleep no matter on weekend or weekdays. Back to Georgetown, despite of the non-congested traffic we on the contrary found it very hard to find a parking. All the car parks were full so we just pusing2 kuar masuk lorong and finally parked at the back of the shop lots. From there we walked to the kedai makan.

My first tought about Nasi Kandar Line Clear ni it was a very big mamak restaurant, and some more because it is so famous mesti kedai dia agak mewah, air conditioned ke, ade hiasan ayat2 Quran yg mahal2 ke (lbh kurang mcm Pelita Nasi Kandar or nasi briani at Restoran Yusoff ke some sort like that la..). However when I reached there,I was totaly amazed. It was just....erm can I say a ..STALL. Yup that's it.

But dun get me wrong, I'm not complaining neither down-graded it, as a matter of fact I'm giving my full respect and compliment to this restaurant. Well it has proved that quality and taste are important rather than appearance. And it is well-deserved with the popularity received because the foods were really scrumptious plus the staffs that super-duper friendly.

We managed to take a few photos here regardless of few peoples who were watching us like we were from outside Malaysia. (Tourist la kununnya, sbnarnya jakun).

Wall of fame... See mmg fames tau Nasi Kandar nie.

Xnak amik gambar kami ke letak kat wall nie? Well kami sedar diri kami x femes pun. Kuikuikui...

Check out the history..

Stomach refilled, we just wandered around Georgetown. From one shop to another and stopped at any famous/interesting building to take photos.

Asked for direction...?? Can't really remember the reason we went here.

Demi sesuap nasi. Touching tgk gamba nie..

Jalan yg pada mulanya sunyi sepi... hening...

Tiba meriah dengan aksi2 model terkenal tanahair... Ceeweah!

Masing2 start me"model"kan diri tanpa perasaan malu asalkan gambar yg diambil outstanding from another person (konsep rival pun bermula).

Antara tempat2 yg sempat kami singgah ialah :

i) Masjid Kapitan Keling at Jln Buckingham (pergh nama jln cam kat UK lak).

Tower also from front view

Me, solo pose

Because of our in-appropriate attire, we didn't go inside the mosque. Memadai dgn bergambar di luar but with more descent pose. Tu yg jadi konsep ari raya nie.. :D

Another pose..

Continued our tour.. Calm kan this town??

Passed by this temple. The building looks old so we skipped this one and continued our walk.

Lalu gak kat another famous Nasi Kandar restaurant, Nasi Kandar Beratur. Nasib baik dah kenyang, so amik gambar je la. Gambar sengal lagi...

ii) We stopped at Han Jiang Ancestral Temple of Penang, only a few walk from Masjid Kapitan Keling. This is one of tourist's attraction and open for public.

Nice decoration...

iii) Next we went to Penang Little India. At Little India....once again, scene lost and found happened. Tgh2 jlan tu suddenly Miss Yatie asked, "Eh, mana tripod?" OMG... jgn jadik lagi. Dah la tripod kepunyaan Mass and I was the one who been given the task to carry the tripod. There was no doubt that I had left it at the temple because I remembered that I put it behind the temple's door when we had a photoshoot there. Padah posing x ingat dunia. Quickly, I volunteered to run to the temple (with Lina following from the back) and alhamdullilah nasib baik elok je tripod tu terletak kat tmpat dimana mula2 ianya ditinggalkan. Nasib baik tinggal kat temple kan (ala2 kat masjid la) org x berani kot nak curik lgpun x ramai sgt visitor kat situ. Kalu x naya kena ganti beb. Mass awal2 dah surrender siap ckp xpela.... Dia & miss Yatie tunggu kitaorg kat kdai Little India tu. Fuhh mmg lega sgt2 sampai sempat pekena air soya bean odw ke Little India balik, penat memecut. Mmg nasib baik jumpa kalau x mesti mood bertukar. Syukur alhamdullilah....... And now I just noticed, even we did'nt plan anything it was so coincident that even the places we visited had meet the 1 Malaysia concept. The Masjid = Malay, Temple = Chinese and Little India = India. Need I say more??? Huh x habis2 1 Malaysiakan. Hehehe...........

Erm... story about 1 Malaysia, I got some funny experience that can put a smile on me until now if I recalled it. It happened after penat menjamu2 mata kat Little India tu, our next plan was to Bazaar Chowrasta at Penang Road. We could reach there merely just by walking, however we were so exhausted sampai nak jalan pun dh x larat. With the extremely hot weather, we decided to take a cab. After asking a few fellows there, we went out from the shop lots to the main road headed to the jetty opposite us where the taxi and bus station located.
Suddenly out from no where.... while waited for the traffic light to cross the road, tetibe ada satu apek ni naik moto tegur lina (who was in lead time tu, biasala org paling rendah kan...)

"Are you Japanese?", and spontanious without hesitate Lina answered "No! We are Malaysian! 1 Malaysia!!! Yeghhhh!!!!!!!" I really dun know what had possed her that time. Soo enthusiast.. Siap angkat dua2 tangan tunjuk jari telunjuk tanda 1 MALAYSIA.. sampai kitaorg pun tersampuk semangat 1 malaysia gak. Mmg dah gelak2 gile time tu. Apek tu pun rasanya menyesal tanya, mesti dia ingat budak2 mental mana terlepas dr Tg Rambutan... sian.

Georgetown Waterfront / Penang Jetty

At Jetty, tghari buta smpai bole jd buta pun we still kemaruk nak bergambar. Each of us who previously flatted suddenly excited once the camera started flashing. The spirit of photoshoot was never die smpai x sedar kulit masing2 dh terbakar hangus... mmg tanned sekor2. Then hajat hati nak amik taxi, tp sbb taxi jual mahal n bg tambang mahal so kami opted to take the bus je la. Lg murah n puas hati. Long time x naik bas, saje amik tmpat duduk belakang2 ala2 zman skolah dulu.

Chowrasta Bazaar, Penang Road

The bus brought us until it's final stop at bus terminal, Komtar. From there we walked once again to our final destination, Chowrasta Bazaar. Kat situ mmg shopping habis2an dr jeruk-meruk hinggala ke kuah rojak. Habis masing2 menjijit 2-3 beg plastik yg maha berat, mana nak jalan lg ke carpark. X larat berenti jap lepak pekena cendol (mmg sedap gile cendol smpai x cukup 1 gelas) then kami tahan la teksi Miss Yatie baik hati nk belanja, nape ek??... Sbb dia yg beli plg byk barang n x larat nak jalan.

Another funny incident (well, this trip was full of it ek).... we were not sure on the exact location of our car park. After had tour the whole town, obviously we lost our bearing. We only knew the direction if we back to the Nasi Kandar Line Clear since we started from there. To find back the Nasi Kandar restaurant tu dah satu hal dlm keadaan panas terik and kaki dh melecet2 nie, mmg x leh pikir ape dah.
We instructed the taxi driver to bring us to kedai Nasi Kandar tu, then we directed him to our car park. Alhamdullilah, it was a piece of cake. We found our car cuma yg kelakarnya the distance from where we took the taxi with our carpark was damn short. It was like two shop rows behind. Patutla pakcik tu mcm blur nape kitaorg nak naik teksi and bergembira charged kitaorg RM5 dgn hanya kuar masuk lorong. Ye la sbb sblm tu dh pusing2 merayap merata hala, mmg dah lost la x tau jln balik. Ok la kalau jln kaki setengah jam lom tentu jumpa carpark kan.. (hahaha menyedapkan hati sendiri yg kemaluan). Tp mmg lawakla. Another walk to remember.

So that was it, from Georgetown we straight to the bridge exited from Penang back to KL. We reached KL around 11pm, dropped Mass first to Subang, then Miss Yatie and finally me at my house.

So far this vacation was totally amazing, fun, and lots of unexpected scenes so dramatic that cannot be forgotten forever. Looking forward for more holiday with the same troop in future together. Dgr2 next plan will be to REDANG. Ok kita nantikan....

With Regards,
LOVELEEN
